Formula 1 British Grand Prix Qualifying Race Preview, Saturday 29th June 2013

This weekends race promises to be a good one at the famous British track of Silverstone. For Williams the race is a special one indeed, with it being the teams 600th race with only teams such as Ferrari and McLaren who have started more races. Team founder Frank Williams has said that the FW35’s will carry the number ‘600’ on their sidepods and also the names of each of the 691 employees who have worked for the Williams Group over the years.

With the practice runs not being that productive, with fewer than a dozen drivers able to set a time, it is left to tomorrows final practice to help set the stage for Saturdays qualifying race. The fastest man of the 1st practice run was Daniel Ricciardo who set a time of 1’54.249 on the damp track, and with the 2nd practice currently underway it is not looking promising for Felipe Massa who has yet again crashed his car into the barriers.

  • Kimi Raikkonen : Great odds here especially with the seasons starting form from Kimi Raikkonen, with 28/1 with Bet365. £200 Free Bets For New Customers Registering an Account. With having won the Australian Grand Prix, coming 2nd at the Chinese Grand Prix and being a regular on the podium this year it is only in the last 4 races the Fin has been struggling. But that could all be put to rest this weekend if he races as well as we have all seen this year.

British Grand Prix Qualifying Race Betting Predictions, Tips and Picks

With Red Bulls history at Silverstone and taking into consideration Mark Webber’s recent announcement of retiring from Formula 1, I feel its only right to back the Australian of topping the grid this Saturday. Depending of course on the practice runs and seeing him come through them intact.

Another safe bet would be with Sebastian Vettel with his recent form and position in the rankings. Although not great odds you can still double your money if he comes in at pole.
