Monaco Grand Prix Preview, Sunday 29th May 2016.

We reach round six, at the very famous circuit of Monaco, Formula 1 has been coming to this circuit since 1955 and it is formed entirely of the roads that accessible to the public, which its narrow streets make it very hard to overtake here, it takes around six weeks to set the circuit for the race weekend, and three weeks to dismantle. This Circuit is the only one not the have a podium for the drivers to receive their trophies, they are given these on the steps of the royal box. Many drivers have won here over the many years, with Ayrton Senna having won here the most with six times.

With Lewis Hamilton is having yet more issues with his car in qualifying, it has given the opportunity for other drivers to make a name for themselves, just like Max Verstappen did in the last race by becoming the youngest ever driver to win a race, but unfortunately due to him crashing into the barrier during qualifying he will be starting at the back of the grid. This is a great chance for Daniel Ricciardo to make it his first win here as he has got his first ever pole position in formula 1, he will also be starting on the supersoft tyres rather than the ultrasoft, which means he could go longer before having to make a pit stop.

Monaco Grand Prix Previous Winners.

Over the many years that Formula 1 has been coming to Monaco, there has been many, many winners, but the constructor with the most wins is the McLaren team with 15 wins here. Nico Rosberg will be wishing to make it four wins in a row here, the only other driver to have 4 or more wins in a row at Monaco is Ayrton Senna with five in a row. Lewis Hamilton will want to try and make it two wins here, but however he has not won a race here since 2008.

2013 – Nico Rosberg Mercedes

Formula 1 Monaco Grand Prix Race Predictions, Tips & Winner Bets.

I think this race will be an interesting one, with i believe the safety car making an appearance due to the nature of the track. It will be interesting to see how Red Bull’s newest driver Max Verstappen will do after his great success at the last race in Spain, but as he is starting at the back of the grid we shall see how far and fast he can make it through the field. The Mercedes team will be hoping not to repeat what happened in the last race, where they crashed into each other in the first lap. Ferrari teammates will be hoping to have a better race here in Monaco, and not to let the Red Bull team be ahead of them again.

Nico Rosberg will be wishing to win here, to become only the second driver to have four wins in a row at Monaco, but Lewis Hamilton will want to put a stop to this happening and win here himself as he hasn’t won here since 2008, however the issues that he has been having with his car may play on his mind. However with Daniel Riccardo starting the race on a different tire strategy to the rest of the drivers, providing he makes a great start he could make it very difficult for the Mercedes boys to get past him.

My predictions for Sunday’s race are that Nico Rosberg will make it his fourth win in a row here, but my Banker will be for Max Verstappen having to start at the back will make it through pack and that he will end up finishing in the top six. I also think that Nico Rosberg shall win the race and that Lewis Hamilton will come second, as they did last year.
