Malaysian Grand Prix, Sunday 29th March 2015.

It was an eventful day in Malaysia when the skies opened to allow rain to put a stop to the qualifying half way through Q2. But when it did eventually restart Lewis Hamilton was quick to make his mark while moving in front of the pack. In the end it was enough for the Brit to secure his second pole position in both opening races of the season. It gave Mercedes yet another impressive display of power as Nico Rosberg also finished high up the pecking order in third. Yet it was the new Ferrari diver Sebastian Vettel who impressed a lot with him finishing in second place and only ever so slightly behind the current world champion.

A few big names failed to make Q3 which includes former world champion Kimi Raikkonen and also Pastor Maldonado of Lotus. Australian Daniel Ricciardo and fellow Red Bull driver Daniil Kvyat both finished high up in 4th and 5th respectfully. Yet sadly for McLaren both drivers failed to even get out of Q1 and start at the back of the grid. New Toro Rosso driver Max Verstappen has an impressive day and starts 6th on the grid.

Malaysian Grand Prix Previous Winners

Red Bull and Sebastian Vettel are the two names who have had the most success over the last five Formula 1 seasons, having won three of the five. While Fernando Alonso and current world champion Lewis Hamilton have all tasted victory once in the last five. Lewis Hamilton starts on pole for Sundays race, and is also favourite to add his name below making it two wins in two.

2014 – Lewis Hamilton Mercedes
2013 – Sebastian Vettel Red Bull – Renault
2012 – Fernando Alonso Ferrari
2011 – Sebastian Vettel Red Bull – Renault
2010- Sebastian Vettel Red Bull – Renault

Formula 1 Malaysian Grand Prix Race Predictions, Tips & Winner Bets.

Formula 1 Grand Prix action on Sunday comes to us live on Sky Sports F1 channel and of course can be viewed in High Definition. The second race of the season is held in Malaysia and features an exciting race where favourite Lewis Hamilton looks set to win his second race in a row. That said Lewis Hamilton might be slightly concerned just how well the Ferrari raced during the qualifying stages with Sebastian Vettel almost taking pole position for himself while also upsetting fellow German Nico Rosberg when he took second.

Daniel Ricciardo is the forth favourite to win the race yet his odds are extremely high which is bizarre considering just how well the Australian drove last season. Bookmakers are making Lewis Hamilton the solid favourite which is to be expected with the Brit starting on pole and in the better car. Even though Sebastian Vettel starts in second he is not given much hope of holding that against fellow German Nico Rosberg who is in the faster car.

My predictions for Sundays race will be for duel forecast of Hamilton/Rosberg even though the odds are rather poor, it should still be a dead cert you can hope. The next is for my favourite one of Lewis Hamilton to complete a hat-trick, meaning a pole position, fastest lap and of course to win on Sunday in case you didn’t know.
