Belgian Grand Prix Preview, Sunday 28th August 2016.

Formula 1 returns after the summer break, back at Spa-Francorchamps in Belgium, for round 13 of this season, this circuit is a firm favorite with with fans and drivers, the circuit is home to the most famous corner in the world Eau Rouge and is the longest on the formula 1 calendar at 4.3 miles long. The driver who has won here the most is Michael Schumacher with six career wins, followed by Ayrton Senna with five wins and Kimi Raikkonen with four wins.

Nico Rosberg has managed to secure pole position, where as his teammate Lewis Hamilton will be starting at the back of the grid as he has been given a fifty five place grid penalty all of which are related to his engine. Behind Nico is Max Verstappen, who now becomes the youngest formula 1 driver to be on the front row. The second row consists  of Kimi Raikkonen in third with his teammate Sebastian Vettel starting in forth.

Belgian Grand Prix Previous Winners.

Many drivers has won here over the years, Nico Rosberg will try very hard to win here as he has never won at this circuit, so to will Max Verstappen as he starts behind the German driver on the front row of the grid.

2015 Lewis Hamilton Mercedes
2014 Daniel Ricciardo Red-Bull Renault
2013 Sebastian Vettel Red-Bull Renault
2012 Jenson Button McLaren- Mercedes
2011 Sebastian Vettel Red-Bull Renault

Formula 1 Belgium Grand Prix Race Predictions, Tips & Winner Bets.

With Nico Rosberg claiming his third pole position in a row he will be wanting to improve on the last few results as he has seen his lead in the championship disappear. Especially as his teammate is now nineteen point ahead of him, but Nico has a great opportunity to pull back some points as his teammate starts at the back of the grid.

This is because of a fifty five place grid penalty, due to a series of penalties given to him that are all related to his engine rebuild. However the rest of his penalty will not be carried over to the next race, this is due to changes in the rules this season. But i would not rule out Lewis Hamilton as the circuit is known for overtaking so he has chances to make his way back through the grid.

Max Verstappen managed to qualify second and only one tenth behind Nico, to become the youngest driver to start on the front row, but as he starts on the super soft tyres will need to have a clean getaway to have any chance as all other drivers around him will be starting on the soft tyres. Kimi Raikkonen will be wanting to have his fifth win here and equal the wins with the famous Ayrton Senna, he starts ahead of his teammate is Sebastian Vettel.

My Banker will be for Lewis Hamilton to finish in the top six by making his way through the grid and not let his teammate be to far in front of him to close the gap on his lead in the championship.

My other prediction will be for Max Verstappen to finish on the podium, with the great success that this young driver has had since moving to Red bull from the sister team of Toro Rosso. With the huge support that he has at this venue the fans will be cheering him on to finish in the top three.
