Belgian Grand Prix Preview, Sunday 23rd August 2015.

It’s been fifteen years since the Michael Schumacher’s record of six pole positions has been broken, and it took an incredible drive from Lewis Hamilton to achieve it having now won his 10th pole position of the season. Nico Rosberg also had a great qualifier and joins team mate Hamilton at the front which is a common feature this season in the Formula 1 Championships. lewis has recently commented on the performance of his car and engineering team and has said the car feels absolutely great on the track during practice and the qualifiers today. Nico Rosberg almost had pole position himself, although Hamilton’s last two laps stole the show and that pole position he was so desperate to achieve.

In other news amazingly so we do actually see Sebastian Vettel way back from where he is used to starting and actually qualified in ninth position on the grid. After winning the last race there were high hopes from the Ferrari driver, although now he seems to have left himself a lot of work in Sundays race in Belgium. Valtteri Bottas starts third on the grid after his Mercedes powered Williams looked very good during todays qualifying. We then see Frenchman Romain Grosjean start in fourth after not enjoying a positive practice on Friday, which is in fact the best he has done during qualifying so far this season.

Belgian Grand Prix Previous Winners

In the last five years we have seen Red Bull come out on top although two of these were when they dominated with Sebastian Vettel as their driver. Since then they have been overtaken by Mercedes although last year did see Daniel Ricciardo enjoy a rare win with Lewis Hamilton out and Nico Rosberg also suffering with the same issue. That said the favourite to win on Sunday is current pole position winner Lewis Hamilton, although the Brit does have a lot of work to do come the start of the race.

2014 – Daniel Ricciardo Red Bull – Renault
2013 – Sebastian Vettel Red Bull – Renault
2012 – Jenson Button McLaren – Mercedes
2011 – Sebastian Vettel Red Bull – Renault
2010- Lewis Hamilton McLaren – Mercedes

Belgian Grand Prix Betting Odds Market.

Lewis Hamilton is as expected the clear favourite to win in Sundays race in Belgium, although last years Championship winner does have a lot to do with him having to defend in the opening straight. Nico Rosberg is always a favourite or a close second to do so via ll the leading bookmakers. With his starting second on the grid the German can always pull something out of the bag and is often very fast off the line, which can cause an issue for Lewis. Valtteri Bottas is an outsider to win the race on Sunday and showed some promising things during qualifier in his Williams car. The best odds on him actually winning the race can be seen coming in here @ 14/1 with Sky Bet – Bet £5 & Get £20 Free, Then a Free £5 Bet Every Week Once Registered

Formula 1 Belgian Grand Prix Race Predictions, Tips & Winner Bets.

Formula 1 action this Sunday comes live to us in Belgium via the Sky F1 High Definition channel and looks set to be an exciting race with both Mercedes drivers taking the front of the grid once again. Lewis Hamilton starts once again in pole position and has made it his 10th of the season and breaking Michael Schumacher’s fifteen year old record. Surprisingly enough though is that Sebastian Vettel starts way back in ninth position after not enjoying a good qualifier during todays event.

Williams driver Valtteri Bottas had an exceptional qualifying race and starts third on the grid just in front of Romain Grosjean who enjoys his best grid position of the season so far. Even though the Frenchman had a fine qualifier he is certainly not being considered as a potential winner with incredible odds of 500/1 by a number of leading bookmakers. That said we will pretty much see a Mercedes driver winning the race on Sunday, with the favourite being that of current champion Lewis Hamilton.

My predictions for Sundays race in Belgium we see Lewis Hamilton complete a hat=trick on pole, fastest lap and of course the race winner after 44 exciting laps. The next I am going for is for Sebastian Vettel to finish in a podium position, even though the Ferrari driver finishes way back in ninth grid position. You could go for a safe option of Valtteri Bottas to finish on podium, although the odds for that are currently not worth your hard earned money. If not Vettel then maybe his old team mate Daniel Ricciardo who are both currently sitting at the same odds.
