Brazilian Grand Prix Preview, Sunday 15th November 2015.

Business as usual for Mercedes who once again claim the top two starting spots on the grid for Sundays race, and on top of that we see Nico Rosberg claim his fifth pole position in a row having slightly beat team mate Lewis Hamilton. With Mercedes taking top two as expected we now look down the grid and see both Ferrari’s in 3rd and 4th with Sebastian Vettel closer to Hamilton and Rosberg that Kimi Raikkonen. Nico Hulkenberg did well to finish in 5th ahead of Daniil Kvyat and Valtteri Bottas. Both McLaren drivers didn’t enjoy the Saturdays qualifying session with Fernando Alonso being spotted doing a spot of sunbathing in the Brazilian sun. Team mate Jenson Button does actually get to race tomorrow though, with the Brit starting in sixteenth position.

Although it seems Nico Rosberg has left it slightly too late to challenge team mate Lewis Hamilton for the championships, he can still take light in the fact that he should now finish in second ahead of Ferrari driver Sebastian Vettel. Lewis Hamilton was faster during the practice rounds and also went faster during Q1 and Q2, yet when it mattered in Q3 the German came out on top just slightly taking his 5th pole position on the trot. Although we mentioned that Nico Hulkenberg starts in 5th, the Force India driver did actually finish in 6th. But due to a punishment served to Valtteri Bottas, the Williams driver see himself demoted by two grid positions.

Nico Rosberg is only a fraction ahead of team mate Lewis Hamilton when it comes down to the bookmakers favourites to win the race on Sunday, and I can only imagine it is due to the fact that it is hard to pass grid position one in the first lap if both drivers have a good start. Sebastian Vettel is the third favourite and the only other driver being given any chance of taking first position come the end of the race. The odds on Rosberg, Hamilton and Vettel finishing on the podium is also seen as not worth taking with Kimi Raikkonen the only other with any positive odds.

Brazilian Grand Prix Previous Winners

Even though Lewis Hamilton claimed his third World Championship title recently, the British driver has still yet to win at this circuit and I can imagine that Hamilton will certainly like to add his name to the winners hall of fame. Sebastian Vettel and Felipe Massa are the only two current drivers who have won here more than once yet we have seen recently retired Mark Webber also add his name twice. Alain Prost is the all time champion on this circuit having won here on six occasions. Jenson Button and Kimi Raikkonen have won here once, alongside the last winner Nico Rosberg who currently starts in pole position.

2014 – Nico Rosberg Mercedes
2013 – Sebastian Vettel Red Bull- Renault
2012 – Jenson Button McLaren – Mercedes
2011 – Mark Webber Red Bull – Renault
2010 – Sebastian Vettel Red Bull – Renault

Formula 1 Brazilian Grand Prix Race Predictions, Tips & Winner Bets.

Formula 1 racing action this Sunday can be seen coming to us live via Sky Sports F1 High Definition and looks set to be an exciting race in the Brazilian sunshine. We see Nico Rosberg start Sundays race in pole position, something he has earned five qualifying rounds in a row as he looks to mount a late comeback and take second in the Drivers World Championships. Nico Rosberg does know how to win in Brazil, with the Mercedes driver winning here last season. We also can see that former World Champion Sebastian Vettel knows how to take victory, with him being only one of two current drivers to have won here more than once.

Lewis Hamilton may of won three World Championships, but has yet to win a race at this Brazilian circuit, something I can imagine him wanting to achieve before his amazing career comes to an end. It would be a nice thing to see another British driver to win this race, with Jenson Button being the last to achieve this since in 2012. Before that it was David Coulthard in the same McLaren-Mercedes way back in 2001. Red Bull and Ferrari have been the more dominate cars to win in the last ten years, sharing seven victories between them.

My predictions for this race on Sunday will at first back Lewis Hamilton to win the race. This is more in hope to be honest, although I do know the champion doesn’t need much of it to actually come first come the end of the race. The next I plan to go for is for a double German driver finish with Rosberg and Vettel to finish first and second in any order, as the Forecast betting does seem to be popular choice by many punters who enjoy the Formula 1 racing.
