Australian Grand Prix Preview, Sunday 15th March 2015.

This seasons formula 1 action guarantees plenty of excitement and drama if last season was anything to go by. We see some fantastic battles between the two drivers at Mercedes with the likes of Nico Rosberg and Lewis Hamilton often locking horns and creating that edgy atmosphere after being friends previously. Lewis Hamilton did eventually win the drivers championship even though it did all come down to the last race. Last season did see Mercedes dominate and we can only hope this season provides us with a better set of competition with the likes of Ferrari and Williams seeing some shake up in staff.

That said however we did see Mercedes complete a lot more laps during practice and qualifying so it does look like they could continue with their winning ways going into this new season. With that also we did see Lewis Hamilton take pole position with his team mate Nico Rosberg starting in second. Ferrari have had a massive shake up in management and drivers with the likes of ex World Champions Fernando Alonso leaving to join McLaren. They did however replace him with a younger World Champion, seeing Sebastian Vettel join them from Re Bull.

This season will no doubt still see Mercedes challenging for first, but who could we see possibly challenging for second? This year with all the changes we could see Ferrari, Williams and Red Bull all making a challenge this season although it will be interested to see how Red Bull do without Sebastian Vettel, even though the German didn’t do anything too special last season after finding himself in the shadow of Aussie Daniel Ricciardo.

Australian Grand Prix Previous Winners

In the last five seasons we have seen a number of drivers win this race and it is great to see Jenson Button coming out on top with two victories. Sadly I do not see the former World Champion repeating any more wins at this location which would only be down to the current car he is driving. This Sunday will likely see a Mercedes driver come out on top again and it would be nice to see Lewis Hamilton as the winner after winning pole position.

2014 – Nico Rosberg Mercedes
2013 – Kimi Raikkonen Lotus – Renault
2012 – Jenson Button McLaren – Mercedes
2011 – Sebastian Vettel RBR – Renault
2010- Jenson Button McLaren- Mercedes

Formula 1 Australian Grand Prix Race Predictions, Tips & Winner Bets.

Formula 1 action once again starts this Sunday in the sunny country of Australia where we see the Mercedes team carry on with a solid start as seen last season throughout. The race can be seen live on Sky Sports F1 HD channel although you will need to set your alarms for an early wake up call.

Last years drivers champion Lewis Hamilton finished Saturdays qualifying round on pole position and is the clear and solid favourite to win the race. His team mate Nico Rosberg will come out fighting after losing last year to Lewis, and the German is coming in second favourite with him starting in second on the grid. There will be a lot of action in the rest of the pack with many drivers changing teams this season. We see Sebastian Vettel now at Ferrari with Fernando Alonso leaving to join McLaren.

My predictions for Sundays race will see a Mercedes driver to win one way or the other, yet it is doing it in some way to actually make the odds work in our favour. One of my favourites will be for the hat-trick, and see Lewis Hamilton to win the race and fastest lap after already winning pole position during Saturdays qualifying. The second I am going for is Sebastian Vettel to take his Ferrari and finish on the Podium, which would be a great achievement for the German after such a poor last season.
