China Grand Prix, Sunday 12th April 2015.

Saturday see Lewis Hamilton once again take pole position during the qualifying, making it three out of three so far this Formula 1 season. He has recently stated in a press conference that the car feels great after seeing some improvements from last week and with Lewis always enjoying the Chinese Grand Prix he also feels confident he can do well during the main race. Team mate Nico Rosberg was so close to taking pole himself with him finishing in second, a tiny 0.042 seconds behind Lewis. In the same press conference the German spoke of his frustration having not finished first, yet it was close so the race on Sunday does look to be a very exciting one.

Ferrari did extremely well also as Malaysian Grand Prix winner Sebastian Vettel one again finished high on the grid in third, although he did mention they were some way off of the Mercedes finishing times, yet should see an improvement in the main race. Williams drivers Massa and Bottas took their usual starting places in forth and fifth, yet Red Bull fell behind with Ricciardo finishing in seventh and twelfth. We should be realistically seeing a Mercedes One/Two on Sunday, although Ferrari could once again throw a spanner in the works and cause Lewis and Rico a few problems.

China Grand Prix Previous Winners

In the last five Formula 1 seasons we have seen three British winners with Lewis Hamilton enjoying a couple with Mercedes and McLaren, while former team mate Jenson Button also had won the year before Lewis back in 2010. Fernando Alonso has won the race in a Ferrari back in 2013 while Nico Rosberg won the year before in the same car he drives today.

2014 – Lewis Hamilton Mercedes
2013 – Fernando Alonso Ferrari
2012 – Nico Rosberg Mercedes
2011 – Lewis Hamilton McLaren – Mercedes
2010- Jenson Button McLaren – Mercedes

Lewis Hamilton is once again the bookmakers favourite to win the race on Sunday, especially as he always does well here and with him finishing on pole position. Best odds on Lewis winning this Sunday found here @ 1/3 with Paddy Power – Bet £10 & Get £20 in Free Bets when Registering a New Account.

Nico Rosberg was only just behind Lewis Hamilton during qualifying and eventually finished in second position and slightly frustrated he couldn’t top his team mate. Best odds on Nico Rosberg winning the Chinese Grand Prix seen here @ 7/2 with Coral – Bet £5 & Get £20 Free when Registering a New Account.

Sebastian Vettel was a noticeable finishing time behind the two Mercedes drivers even though he did only do one qualifying lap during Q3. The German felt it was enough and has said he didn’t feel he could improve on the time to close the gap between him and the Mercedes. Best odds on him winning again seen here @ 16/1 with Betfred – Bet £10 Get £30 Free Bets for New Registering Accounts

Formula 1 China Grand Prix Race Predictions, Tips & Winner Bets.

The China Grand Prix this Sunday can be seen live on Sky Formula 1 High Definition channel and is also an early starter at 7am UK time. We see Lewis Hamilton finish in pole position one again making it three out of three so far this season. Nico Rosberg was frustrated at finishing in second and he wasn’t shy in saying so during the press conference after Q3.

Sebastian Vettel proved once again why he was a great choice for Ferrari and finished third on the grid with fellow team mate Kimi Raikkonen coming in 6th position. Vettel’s odds on winning the race have double from last week and I can only imagine it is down to how well the Mercedes cars looked during practice and qualifying.

My predictions for this race on Sunday will see a duel forecast of Hamilton/Rosberg in first and second. The next I am going for is for the winner to finish exactly five to ten seconds in front of whoever finishes in second position. Something I haven’t gone for before, but the odds look good and we have seen it happen on more than one occasion in the past.
