Spanish Grand Prix Preview, Sunday 10th May 2015.

It’s not a good start to the Spanish Grand Prix for last years Champion Lewis Hamilton who starts on the grid in third place. If the Brit had finished on pole it would of been his fifth in a row and an all time best. This track is also a tough circuit to overtake and with Sebastian Vettel and Nico Rosberg in front of him it will no doubt need some luck or expert driving to win the race.

Nico Rosberg has finally broken the back of his bad run and eventually come out on top with a solid pole position win. The ex World Champion lost out last year to team mate Lewis Hamilton but this Sunday has a great chance to pull back some points a Lewis has started to pull away ever so slightly. Sebastian Vettel is really enjoying his new career in the Ferrari car and once again starts in a top three position, this time it is behind Rosberg and in front of Hamilton in second.

Lewis Hamilton is still the bookmakers favourites to win the race on Sunday with Nico Rosberg a very close second. Sebastian Vettel is the third favourite as expected, but for him to win the odds are very high with the best coming in at 10/1. Raikkonen starts in forth while Williams once again finish in fifth and six, something that is becoming a regular result.

Spanish Grand Prix Previous Winners

Mercedes have dominated the last couple of years in Spain with Nico Rosberg winning in 2013 and Lewis Hamilton is 2014. Mark Webber who has retired from Formula 1 is in Spain and watching the race on Sunday and it is great to see the Australian’s name on the below table not once, but twice back in 2010 and 2011.

2014 – Lewis Hamilton Mercedes
2013 – Nico Rosberg Mercedes
2012 – Pastor Maldonado Williams – Renault
2011 – Mark Webber Red Bull – Renault
2010- Mark Webber Red Bull – Renault

Formula 1 Spanish Grand Prix Race Predictions, Tips & Winner Bets.

Nico Rosberg come in first during the second and third qualifying rounds and eventually finishes in pole position which has finally bought a smile on the German’s face. The Mercedes driver has been complaining often with even finishing in third position behind team mate Hamilton and the Ferrari driver Sebastian Vettel. So it comes as no surprise when we can see him finally smiling and now starting in pole position on Sunday.

Given that however he is still not the favourite to win the race on Sunday, with team mate Lewis Hamilton ever so slightly tipping him to that spot with him coming in at evens at most bookmakers. Sebastian Vettel is coming in at third for the win although the race is mainly down to both Mercedes drivers.

My predictions this Sunday for this Spanish Grand Prix will see Nico Rosberg finally win his first race of the season. I was thinking of going for a Duel Forecast with Hamilton finishing in second, but feel just going for  Nico Rosberg to win will be enough. The second prediction I am going for is a double Ferrari podium finish. I only think this will come in if either of the Mercedes drivers has to retire from the race.
