Japanese Grand Prix Preview, Sunday 9th October 2016.

We reach round 17 of the formula 1 calendar, and over to Japan and the Suzuka Circuit. This circuit is located in the middle of nowhere, where you will find a giant Ferris wheel  at this iconic venue, the layout is designed around a figure of eight with the cars looping back on a high-speed overpass. Formula 1 has been coming here consistently since 1987.

With the events from last weekend at the Malaysian Grand Prix having an impact on this weeks race, with Lewis Hamilton’s car having a engine fire towards  the end of the race causing him to loose the race. Also Sebastian Vettel, who will receive a 3 place grid penalty for causing a crash in the first corner.

As Formula one has been coming here for many years the driver with the most ever career wins here is Michael Schumacher with an impressive six wins, the next driver is Sebastian Vettel with four, now Lewis Hamilton currently has three wins here but if wins here on Sunday he will equal Sebastian Vettel, which is a possibility.

Japanese Grand Prix Previous Winners

There has been many different drivers win here over the years, for the last 3 years it has always been the driver who started second on the grid that has won the race, so as Lewis Hamilton starts second on the grid in Sunday’s race that he will be able to make it a much needed race win.

Formula 1 Japanese Grand Prix Race Predictions, Tips & Winner Bets.

I think that Sunday’s race that can be seen on Sky Sports exclusive formula 1 channel from 6am, will be an interesting one. With Lewis Hamilton having to win so that he can close the gap between himself and his teammate Nico Rosberg, which i think he will do. The drivers had both put in very impressive qualifying laps and it all came down to only 13 thousandths of a seconds which they worked out to be only 82cms in distance.

With Sebastian Vettel having to start back in seventh after his three place grid penalty, he starts behind the two Red-Bulls of Max Verstappen, Daniel Ricciardo and the Force India of Sergio Perez, so he will have a tough start having to start from there.

My Banker for the race will be for Lewis Hamilton to win here, as he has won here many times especially over the last two years both times starting from second, so as long as here gets a good start and that the reliability of his car is not an issue, i am sure he will win here in Suzuka.

My other prediction will be for  Max Verstappen to finish in the top three, as the young dutch driver has done very well throughout the practice sessions staying very close to the top three, so i think he will make a move to get as close to the front as possible.
