Canadian Grand Prix Preview, Sunday 7th June 2015.

Mercedes once again take the front stage with a one/two start on the grid for Sundays race. Lewis Hamilton put Monaco to the back of his mind as he came out on top having won yet another pole position. Nico Rosberg was a close second yet this time the other Ferrari driver starts in third place, being Kimi Raikkonen. Sadly for Ferrari we see Sebastian Vettel crash out of Q1 after having issues with his MGU-H, yet he wasn’t the only big name to suffer today as Jenson Button didn’t even start with his needing a new engine while Williams driver Felipe Massa complained of a lack of power in his Mercedes engine.

Kimi Raikkonen set the pace early on in Q2 and it wasn’t until late on when Mercedes drivers Hamilton and Rosberg came in and ruined the Fin’s day with their cars being a whole second faster. Lewis Hamilton made this qualifying day his sixth pole position of the season only just beating his team mate Nico Rosberg. Verstappen starts at the back of the grid although he can’t take his full 15 grid place penalties all in one hit. Jenson Button looks set to start in the pit lane which is good as long as his car is ready in time.

Canadian Grand Prix Previous Winners

Lewis Hamilton is no stranger at winning in Canada with him winning twice here in the last five years, both in his old car the McLaren-Mercedes. He lost out last year yet is now in a good position to make it his forth win on this track. Nico Rosberg is a driver who has yet to win in Canada and will no doubt be looking to once again spoil Lewis Hamilton’s day, much like Monaco, although that was the pit teams fault and not any of the drivers.

Formula 1 Canadian Grand Prix Race Predictions, Tips & Winner Bets.

After the controversy of the last race in Monaco it is good to see and hear that Lewis Hamilton has put his bad ending to the race well behind him. Lewis lead the race from the beginning and with only a fraction of the race left his team called him into pit after the safety car was called out. They were the only team to call their driver in and even though it was a quick pit stop, by the time Lewis came out onto the track he had lost two positions and eventually the race. All Mercedes could do was apologies to the British driver and although you could see how upset Hamilton was, it was still great to see him stand up on the podium and take it on the chin like a true champion.

My predictions for this race on Sunday does see Lewis Hamilton win on the day, and I am sure any bad advice from his team will no doubt surely be ignored after the last races bad call which cost Lewis the race. So for this I plan to take the Lewis Hamilton Hat-Trick which is often a favourite selection of mine due to it often coming in. The next will be for Sebastian Vettel to finish in a podium position, although I highly doubt it will be above any of the Mercedes drivers.
