Bahrain Grand Prix Preview, Sunday 3rd April 2016.

The second round moves on to the International Circuit in Sakhir, Bahrain, which is the first Grand Prix venue in the middle east, and formula 1 have been coming here since 2004. The Decision to change the format of qualifying did not get the green light, so for the second time it will remain the same as Australia. Where the cars shall be eliminated after a period of time, even though many people have criticised the format. We shall see how long this will last for.

This race will see Fernando Alonso not able to take part in, due to the injuries he sustained in the big crash that he had with Esteban Gutierrez in Australia. The decision was made on Thursday that he would not take part of this race, as he had not recovered sufficiently from the fractured ribs and the extent of his injuries means that he could even be out for the next race in China where he will have another scan then they will evaluate the situation. This means there is a spare seat at McLaren so reserve driver Stoffel Vandoorne makes his Grand Prix debut, this driver has raced at Bahrain before he won on his GP2 debut in 2014.

Bahrain Grand Prix Previous Winners.

This race has seen many different winners but Lewis Hamilton will be looking to make it 3 wins in a row here, he would be the first driver to do this since the race started coming here in 2004. If he manages to do this then he will be equaling the amount of Bahrain race wins with Fernando Alonso .

2015 – Lewis Hamilton Mercedes
2014 – Lewis Hamilton Mercedes
2013 – Sebastian Vettel Red Bull – Renault
2012 – Sebastian Vettel Red Bull – Renault
2010 – Fernando Alonso Ferrari

Formula 1 Bahrain Grand Prix Race Predictions, Tips & Winner Bets.

Starting third and forth on the grid the Ferrari’s are looking like the only constructor to give the Mercedes team some trouble this year, but the reliability of their car remains at the back of there mind. But with a great start like in Australia where Sebastian Vettel was the race leader who knows what could happen.

Also one to watch would be the Haas team with the great start that they made in the last race, they will be keen to continue this with Grosjean staring in ninth on the grid. Also with McLaren’s reserve driver Stoffel Vandoorne starting in twelfth, he will very interesting to watch as he has had many successes here at this circuit.

Can Lewis Hamilton on Sunday make it his first win in the 2016 season and win his third race here in Bahrain, and becoming the only driver to do this in consecutive years? Or will his teammate beat him and continue on his winning streak, putting more pressure on Hamilton to defend his world title?

My predictions for Sunday’s race on Sky F1 channel will be that Romain Grosjean will continue on his great start in Australia to finish in the points positions. I thought that he may not get into the top 6 position due to nature of the circuit as it is tough on tyre wear. My Second prediction will be a fastest lap by Nico Rosberg, he has been consistently fast throughout the weekend, and only just missed out on pole by a few hundredths of a second.
