Russian Grand Prix Preview, Sunday 1st May 2016.

Round Four takes us to the Sochi Autodrom in Russia, this is only the third time that the race has come here after making its debut in 2014. This is where Lewis Hamilton will want to make it 3 wins in a row, but as he was unable to set a time in Q3 he could find it difficult. This is because his car has had the same power unit failure as seen in the last race, and will be starting provisionally in Tenth on the grid. He will need make his way through the pack as fast as he can, as I’m sure he would not want to let his teammate get too far ahead.

Sebastian Vettel has been given a 5 place grid penalty due to changing his gear box, but starting in seventh he will want to get near the front as quickly as possible as he was only seven tenths slower than the Mercedes of Nico Rosberg. So making up the front two rows of the grid will be Nico Rosberg and Valtteri Bottas followed by Kimi Raikkonen and Felipe Massa. This is the best start of the season that the Williams team have, so I am sure they will want to capitalise on this opportunity to gain more points than their rivals.

Russian Grand Prix Previous Winners.

Since only coming here since 2014 Lewis Hamilton is the only driver to win here, so I am sure he will want to make it three in a row. But with all the issues he has had recently we are seeing his team mate Nico Rosberg as the bookmakers favourites to win in Russia. Lewis Hamilton, although in tenth, is still seen as the second favourite to win and is certainly worth the money with the great odds currently on offer.

Formula 1 Russian Grand Prix Race Predictions, Tips & Winner Bets.

I believe it will be interesting one to watch with a couple of drivers staring further back on the grid to where they are used to, with Lewis Hamilton starting provisionally in tenth, and Sebastian Vettel starting in seventh with his grid penalty. But I think they will make there way through within the first few laps and be in the running for a potential podium finish We have also seen some great qualifying from the Williams boys Massa and Bottas, who will no doubt create a few problems for the drivers that start behind them.

Nico Rosberg will want to maintain his winning streak, get away very well at the start and maintain a good lead to secure his seventh race win in a row, which I believe he is more than capable of doing this Sunday. With his team mate Lewis Hamilton and Vettel in the Ferrari starting a fair few places behind him on the grid it can only be Rosberg’s to lose when it comes to the end of the fifty three exciting laps. Although Hamilton starts in tenth he is still coming in second favourite to win the race and will hope his power supply unit holds out and produces no further faults.

My Predictions for Sunday’s race are that Nico Rosberg will win but due to the odds being that terrible I do feel there is very little point in placing a bet on the German, unless of course it is a large amount. So instead I feel as my banker bet I’ll got for a Williams car to finish in the top three. With this I am going to take Valtteri Bottas to finish in a podium position with the Finnish driver currently enjoying some great lap times. The next I am going for is the Duel Forecast prediction of Nico Rosberg and Sebastian Vettel. I feel this is a better option than taking Lewis Hamilton, especially due to his recent faults on his power supply unit.
