Hull City v Everton Preview, Premiership, Friday 30th December

Hull City continue to loss games and are still firmly routed to the bottom of the Premiership table coming into this match, and unless they start to pick up points will no doubt see themselves playing back in the Championships next season. In the last five league games they have only managed to gather one point which was at home against Crystal Palace who are also struggling very close to the relegation zone.

This draw against Palace is also the only goals the club have scored in their last five fixtures in all competitions, meanwhile losing the other four games to nil. Manchester City and Tottenham Hotspurs have each put three past the struggling Hull City, while Middlesbrough and West Ham United have each scored the one. Hull will know Everton will come at them on Friday and can only hope to counter attack them and possibly grab a win.

Everton come into this game on the back of some mixed results where one week they are beating title hopefuls Arsenal and the next losing at home to bitter rivals Liverpool. Now that’s not to take it away from Liverpool, as they themselves are having an exceptional season and sit in second place. Everton have also just beaten last years Champions Leicester City away from home, with them also struggling at the bottom just five points adrift Hull City.

The next five games should see Everton potentially do quite well, with them favourites to pick up points on Friday as well as Monday when they host Southampton. that game could however also end a draw or go either way as Southampton are also in a good run of form. After that it will be the Champions again, but this time in the FA Cup at Goodison Park. I can however see them struggle against Manchester City, who they are set to play after the FA Cup weekend.

Hull City Team News:

Hull City are suffering in the league right now and are also suffering a number of injury issues. Will Keane and Moses Odubajo are out of action for some time as they both recover from serious knee issues. They do however see the return of goalkeeper Allan McGregor after he has missed out a large part of the season due to having surgery in the Summer.

Everton Team News:

Everton once again see number one goalkeeper Maarten Stekelenburg miss out after suffering a dead leg when he collided with team mate Leighton Baines against Liverpool. Also missing is Bryan Oviedo (unknown) and James McCarthy (hamstring) while Muhamed Besic and Yannick Bolasie continue to sit out with long term knee injuries.

Hull City v Everton Head to Head Statistics:

Although Hull City won the last time these two clubs played each other, it is in fact Everton who have enjoyed the better results with three victories ad the 1 – 1 draw back in 2014. In total the two clubs have recorded nine games played against each other, where Everton have won on five occasions whilw City have secured two victories. Leaving two games ending in draws of some sort.

Previous Average Goals Per Game Statistics

In the nine games played against each other we have seen a total of thirty goals scored all together. This is going to give us a goals per game average of 3.3 which is not a statistic I trust. I’d be more inclined to take the below option for Friday nights game.

Hull City v Everton Recent Form All Competitions (Left to Right)

Hull City: L L L D L
Everton: W L W L D

Hull City are in dire form right now with them firmly routed into the relegation zone currently. They are currently four points adrift Crystal Palace who seem to be just staying out of the red zone. Where as Everton have seemed to recover from such a bad start to the season while also beating Arsenal and champions Leicester City in the last five games played in all competitions.

Hull City v Everton Match Betting Odds Market

Hull City are seen as outsiders to win this match at home and it does come as no surprise seeing as though they are at the bottom of the table. The bookies best odds right now for them to win at home can be seen coming in here @ 10/3 with Betvictor – Bet £10 Get £60 when Registering a New Account

The Draw is all Hull City can hope for in my opinion as I seriously cannot see the home side actually winning come Friday. The best odds on the draw can be seen coming in here @ 5/2 with Skybet – Deposit £5 & Receive £20 Free Bets when Registering a New Account

Everton do come into this game as the favourites to win and I can only imagine the any other result will be seen as bad considering that they are playing bottom of the league. Hull City v Everton Match Predictions, Banker Tips & First Goal Scorer Bets

Premiership action this Friday night can be seen live via Sky Sports 1 High Definition where it features home side Hull City verses Everton. We do know that Hull City are really struggling for a win with the last being seen back at the beginning of November where Southampton managed to lose 2 – 1. The club did taste victory at the end of November which was in the League Cup against Newcastle United on penalties.

We did see this Hull City side earn promotion a few years ago but instantly went back down into the Championships having played so poorly. Nothing has changed it seems with them now firmly set to go straight back down come the end of the season unless the results do start to come in. The bookmakers have made the visitors the clear favourites to win this Friday with Hull City very unlikely to cause an upset.

Everton do seem to have picked up their form with them recording wins against Arsenal and Leicester City as well as a draw at home against Manchester United at the beginning of the month. The loses the club have endured in the last five games played has been against bitter rivals Liverpool 1 – 0 at home, as well as that 3 – 2 loss against Watford a couple of weeks ago.

My predictions for this game will be backing that of Everton to win somehow as I personally do not feel the home side Hull City have it in them to do so. Although Hull City have struggled to score in four of their last five matches I cannot see them going another game without a goal. So my banker tip will be for both teams to score and for Everton to win the match.
