AC Milan v Sampdoria Preview, Serie A, September 28th 2013

AC Milan have not exactly lit Serie A alight this year as they sit in a lowly position of 12th with only 5 points from 5 games, it didn’t help losing the game at home to Napoli after going 2 goals down before Balotelli pulled one back in the 90th minute who also then got sent off 30 seconds later, I can only imagine it was due to his celebration but you can never tell with this player being such a live wire.

Things are starting to look dire for Sampdoria here who are sitting quite uncomfortably 3rd from bottom with only 2 points from 5 games, and even those points have only been recent during the month of September against Cagliari where they scored both their goals in the last few minutes. Even against Bologna they managed to take the lead but then lost it and nearly looked like losing the game until a 71st minute goal by Gabbiadini.

AC Milan v Sampdoria Team News

AC Milan Team News:

Surprisingly AC Milan go into this match without club top scorer Balotelli after he received a 2nd yellow card after scoring his goal in the 90th minute against Napoli even though they still lost, so the pressures now on Brazil veteran Robinho who he himself has managed to score 2 goals in his last 5 games, the only striker to take part in all 5 games.

Sampdoria Team News:

With Manolo Gabbiadini proving his worth as he has now saved Sampdoria twice from suffering 5 straight league defeats with his late equalizing goals which has so far earned his club 2 points from the draws. If he could manage to score them earlier on then it could take the pressure off his side as the bid to earn their first win of the season against a Milan side who themselves are not exactly playing great.

AC Milan v Sampdoria Match Predictions, Tips & First Goal Scorer Bets.

Well for a start I will not be putting my money on Sampdoria for this game, I am completely shocked with their poor run of form. Last year they nearly managed to get relegated before the new manager Delio Rossi pulled the side away from the drop, I bet hes starting to regret signing a new contract now unless his side do manage to start pulling out the results. But we also need to look at a Milan side who are not playing their best either, with themselves only 3 points better off than their opponents before Saturdays game. But that said I still think its a sensible bet to say that AC Milan will pull off the result they need at home against a side who are struggling to find their first win. If they can contain Manolo Gabbiadini at the end of the match who he himself has the potential to damage their winning chances with a few late equalizing goals which have earned Sampdoria their only points so far.

So I am going for a 2 – 0 AC Milan win on Saturday and also for Robinho to score his 3rd goal of the season which I feel are very reasonable choices considering the options faced.
