Arsenal v AFC Bournemouth Preview, Premiership, Sunday 27th November 2016.

Arsenal have faced some tough opposition recently which include bitter rivals Tottenham Hotspurs and Manchester United. Having drawn both of these games 1 – 1 then they went into a Champions League crunch match against French Champions Paris st Germain. It was another draw for the Gunners who did go one goal down just before the twenty minute mark yet did manage an equalizer just before half time.

The second have did show in Arsenal’s favour with them appearing to eventually wake up and get going, and were reward  in the 59th minute when Verratti turned in an attempted clearance with an own goal. The defender had no chance at getting out of the way and which resulted in the home side taking the lead. However Arsenal then suffered the same fate when Alex Iwobi scored an own goal to give the visitors a well deserved draw.

AFC Bournemouth are doing much better now in the Premier League even though they have lost to newcomers Middlesbrough and Sunderland in recent weeks. They returned back to winning ways however with a 1 – 0 victory away from home to Mark Hughes Stoke City. They are currently tenth in the table rankings which is still only five points outside the relegation zone.

A tough few games for AFC Bournemouth coming up, with them set as likely losers against Arsenal, Liverpool and the Champions Leicester City who they face mid December. They do also have to face Burnley and Southampton so could very well gain points there. The first three mentioned as said will be tough, but if they do manage to earn a couple of points from these games then that certainly would help.

Arsenal Team News:

No new injury worries for Arsene Wenger with him likely to pick from the same group of players who featured against French side PSG midweek. Still missing are defenders Per Mertesacker (knee) and Hector Bellerin (ankle), while Santi Cazorla is sorely missed with his achilles. Danny Welbeck (knee) and Lucas Perez (ankle) are also out injured.

AFC Bournemouth Team News:

AFC Bournemouth will be without Jack Whilshere for this game obviously, with the midfielders parent club being the opposition for this fixture. One player who is to face a late fitness test is goalkeeper Artur Boruc who has recently been out due to a back issue. Andrew Surman is also unlikely to feature due to the midfielders hamstring.

Arsenal v AFC Bournemouth Head to Head Statistics:

With AFC Bournemouth a new team to the dizzy heights of the Premier League we have only seen the two meet twice in the past which was last season. Both times the two have met we have seen Arsenal win 2 – 0 and it is likely to be the same result when the two meet this Sunday. Arsenal are the favourites as you can imagine and the best odds for them to win will be found below.

Previous Average Goals Per Game Statistics

In the two games played last season we did see Arsenal win both 2 – 0, so with a total of four goals scored the average goals per game is set as two. I do believe that the below option would be a good selection for this fixture at The Emirates.

AFC Bournemouth: W L L D W

Even though Arsenal have drawn their last three games they are still the better team in form having won the remaining two. AFC Bournemouth have recovered from their two loses when they beat Stoke City away from home recently. That said it will likely be an Arsenal win this Sunday and they then have to face Liverpool the following week.

Arsenal v AFC Bournemouth Match Predictions, Banker Tips & First Goal Scorer Bets

After a week of Champions League excitement it is now back to business for the Premiership clubs in which we see Arsenal take on AFC Bournemouth at home. The game can be watched live on Sky Sports 1 High Definition and kicks off just after the lunchtime hour. The home side are looking to get back to winning ways especially after drawing against Spurs and Manchester United before the Champions League break.

Arsenal were lucky against Manchester United, with the home side dominating the gunners all game at Old Trafford. They managed an 89th minute equalizer to earn a point which has kept them just one point above their bitter rivals Tottenham Hotspurs in fourth. A win on Sunday wont see them move anywhere in the table, although it will close the gap to two points below Manchester City.

AFC Bournemouth could jump up a place in the table if they do manage a win on Sunday against Arsenal, but I can’t see that happening unless Arsenal play so bad they look like a League Two side. A loss will also see the reverse effect especially if Southampton manage to beat Everton at home in the later kick-off on Sunday. Could Arsenal earn another draw or are they going to get the easy win as I’m predicting?

My predictions for this game as you can imagine are in favour of the home side Arsenal, in which I am going to go for an easy win of some kind. My banker is going to be set as Arsenal to win the game to nil, with that bet at least giving us some odds in the positive. My next is going to be for a correct score of Arsenal to win 3 – 1 and completely dominating the match come Sunday afternoon.
