AFC Bournemouth v Bolton Wanderers Preview, Championship, Monday 27th April 2015

AFC Bournemouth will head into this game having seen the results over the weekend and know that a victory in this match would see the league title and promotion to the Premiership between themselves and Watford. That should be enough incentive for the players to give their manager 100% in this match and I fully expect the hosts to be the ones celebrating come the full time whistle.

Bolton Wanderers will be hoping to spoil the party though and with nothing left to play for now this season the pressure will be off, although they would need to play a lot better than they have recently if they were to stand any chance of winning this game as with just one win in their last five matches played it’s obvious that the confidence in the squad is lacking.

Bournemouth Team News:

The hosts will be without Simon Francis as he serves a suspension, but other than that manager Eddie Howe has a full squad available to him and will likely stick with the same lineup that started against Sheffield Wednesday last time out.

Bolton Wanderers Team News:

The visitors will be without Josh Vela who will miss the final two games of the season due to groin problem and skipper Matt Mills is also unavailable due to a head injury. Paddy McCarthy is still recovering from a foot injury and misses out, but Dean Moxey is likely to play despite limping off in the first half against Brentford last time out.

Max Clayton (knee), Zach Clough (shoulder), Kevin McNaughton (leg), Simeon Slavchev (ankle) and David Wheater (hamstring) all remain long-term absentees.

AFC Bournemouth v Bolton Wanderers Head to Head Statistics:

Monday night’s game from the Goldsands Stadium will become only the 4th meeting between the two clubs over the years, of which Bournemouth have won 1, Bolton Wanderers have won 1 and there has been 1 draw.

As we can see from our head to head statistics table below neither side heads into this game with any real advantage as both clubs have managed 1 victory each, with the remaining game having finished all square.

AFC Bournemouth v Bolton Wanderers Match Betting Odds Market

AFC Bournemouth are the clear favourites to win this game on Friday night with a current best price available of 3/10 with Betfred – Bet £10 & Receive £30 Free Bets for New Customers.

The Draw could be a sensible choice as your main cover bet as Bolton Wanderers do have a habit of drawing games recently and this looks good value at a current best price of 5/1 with Bet365 – £200 Matched Bonus Bets for New Customers.

Bolton Wanderers whave nothing to really play for in this game and are safe from relegation, so the pressure will be off the players, but I don’t think their squad is good enough to win this game as their current best price of 11/1 with BetVictor – £25 Free Bets for New Customers, does reflect their chances of being slim to none at best.

AFC Bournemouth v Bolton Wanderers Match Predictions, Tips & First Goal Scorer Bets.

Bournemouth must win this game to stay in contention for the league title and the pressure will certainly be on the players come Monday night. However, with a packed out Goldsands stadium fully behind them the extra man should be more than enough to see Eddie Howe’s team take the title race all the way to the last game of the season.

Bolton are safely clear from the relegation zone and don’t really have anything to play for in this game but pride and with the players probably thinking more about their upcoming holiday plans than football at the moment, I don’t really see them putting up too much of a fight in this game.

Onto some predictions then and my Banker selection is going to be for Bournemouth Half Time/Full Time and I would expect them to try and grab an early lead and then take the rest of the game at a much slower pace trying to extend it.

My Saver is going to be for Both Teams to Score & Draw, just in case the pressure becomes too much for the Bournemouth defence to cope with and Bolton snatch a late equaliser.
