Hull City v Manchester United Preview, Premiership, Sunday 24th May 2015

I can’t help but feel it is Hull City who are going into this game in deep trouble feel like they need the impossible to happen on Sunday afternoon when they host Manchester United. Hull are currently occupying that last remaining relegation position and need to secure a hard asking win over Manchester United and they also need Newcastle United to lost at home against West Ham United. All that the team from Yorkshire can so is do their part and beat their opponents and give themselves a fighting chance and if that happens all eyes will be on St James’ Park.

Manchester United did not start the season off in good form under their new manager however, he has certainly turned that around as they have secured that fourth position which means they will play in the Champions League next season if they manage to come through the qualifying stages. It is also worth mentioning that if Arsenal lose at home by one or two goals and United knock in an unlikely six then they will leapfrog Arsenal into third position in the overall standings.

Hull City Team News:

At this current moment in time it looks like the home side will only have three injured players when they welcome the giants of English football to the KC Stadium. Gaston Ramirez is missing with a hamstring problem and both Diame and Snodgrass look set to miss out with respective knee injuries. Livermore is suspended after he failed a drugs test a couple of weeks ago.

Manchester United Team News:

Louis Van Gaal will be happy that Rooney looks to be fit for this game after fears he would miss the rest of the season. Rafael and Carrick both look to be injured for this game. Evans and Shaw also are major doubts. Manchester United have no suspensions coming into the last game of the season.

Hull City v Manchester United Head to Head Statistics:

In the last five head to head encounters we can see it is United who are the dominant side with five wins and losses. We only have seven games recorded between the two clubs where Hull City have never beaten the Red Devils as they have all seven games down as a loss with three of them coming at home.

Previous Average Goals Per Game Statistics

In the seven games we do have recorded we can see there is a total of 28 goals scored, which is going to give us an average of 4.0 goals per game which certainly isn’t too bad. Going for the below option could be a good bet here.

Hull City v Manchester United Match Betting Odds Market

Hull City must treat this as cup final if they are to have any chance of staying in the Premier League, they will need their main goal threat Jelavic to be firing on all cylinders in this match and for previous club Everton he did notch a few against United. The best price for Hull City to win is 12/5 with BetVictor – £25 Free Bets for New Customers.

The Draw would still be a good result for Hull City although they would definitely be relegated from the league and down into the dreaded Championship, in the last five games there has been no draws recorded. The best price is 11/4 with LadBrokes – £25 Free Bets for New Customers.

Manchester United are the bookmakers favourites for the win this interesting clash however, they are not currently at an odds on price which for me is very surprising. The best price is 5/4 with BetVictor – £25 Free Bets for New Customers.

Hull City v Manchester United Match Predictions, Tips & First Goal Scorer Bets.

Premiership Sunday afternoon action comes live from Sky Sports 3 High Definition and features home side Hull City verses Manchester United. Hull City are fighting for relegation survival and must treat this fixture as a cup final game, however impossible that may feel for the club and its fans and the last thing they want to see in their way is the site of Manchester United who have nearly a fully fit squad to choose from. Hull need to come storming out the blocks and score a couple of early goals in they are going to win this encounter.

A worrying factor for hull is that in their last three games played they have only managed to get on the score sheet once however, their opponents are not exactly firing in the goals as they have only managed to rack up a total of three goals in their last five games played. Jelavic missed a hat full of chances last time out against Tottenham Hotspur and I just wonder if Steve Bruce might just bench him for this one and opt with the very capable Hernandez who hasn’t really found his feet yet at the KC Stadium.

Down to my predictions now for this game which is quite difficult given the situation of the two clubs however, I have decided to go for both teams to score and Manchester United to win the game as I think stats will ring true and United will win, also I believe hull will come storming out the blocks and grab at least once goal.

My Saver for this match has been quite an easy one and it is going to be over 4.5 goals score in the match and the reason is I think Hull will really have a go at United and score 2 if not 3 goals but I think United will score more.
