Newcastle United v Aston Villa Preview

Newcastle United head into this game with hope having been revived after a fantastic comeback from 1-0 down last weekend to beat Tottenham Hotspur 2-1 at White Hart Lane, goals from Mitrovic and Perez sunk Spurs to only their second league defeat of the season and now with home advantage and going up against bottom of the league Aston Villa, all Newcastle United fans and their players will be confident of keeping their good run going on Saturday evening.

Aston Villa head into the game still rooted at the foot of the premiership league table on just 6pts after suffering a 2-0 defeat at home against Arsenal last weekend. Aston Villa have won just one game this season and look destined for relegation come next May, unless some sort of miracle happens between now and then and I don’t think anybody is expecting Aston Villa to get anything from this one.

Newcastle United Team News:

The hosts have a large casualty list at the moment and will be without the services of Tim Krul (knee) is out for the season, Gabriel Obertan (hamstring) and Massadio Haidara (knee) are not expected back until March and Steven Taylor (hamstring) will not return until January at the earliest.

Mike Williamson and Jamaal Lascelles (both hamstring) are expected back for the home fixture against Everton on Boxing Day, while Cheick Tiote (groin/pelvis) could be back this weekend. Emmanuel Riviere is yet to feature this season after knee surgery.

Aston Villa Team News:

The visitors have almost a full squad available but will still be without the services of Micah Richards and Jordan Amavi who are both struggling with knee injuries and Craig Gardner is a major doubt and unlikely to feature as he also nurses a knee problem.

Newcastle United v Aston Villa Match Predictions, Tips & First Goal Scorer Bets.

Newcastle United are definitely the team in form heading into this game and despite a number of injuries to key players they should be strong enough to secure another 3pts against a side that has managed just one league win this season.

Aston Villa continue to struggle in front of goal and it does seem that the club needs at least three or four new players brought in during the January transfer window if they are to have any chance of staying in the english top flight league and I can’t really see the visitors causing Newcastle United that many problems on Saturday evening.

Onto some predictions then and my Banker Free Tip will be for Newcastle United to continue their good run of recent form and secure maximum points.

My First Goalscorer Free Tip will be for Newcastle United striker Aleksandar Mitrovic to open the scoring in the game as with the striker having scored after just 30 seconds of coming on as a substitute against Tottenham Hotspur last weekend he will no doubt be in confident mood to add another goal to his season tally.
