Tottenham Hotspur v West Ham United Preview, Premiership, Saturday 18th November 2016.

With Tottenham Hotspurs the only team that hasn’t been beaten all season, can they turn up Saturday and put in another solid performance and come away with three points. That said they are only fifth in the table with them so far drawing six and winning five and are currently still five points off of the top with Liverpool currently leading after eleven games.

Although they may not of lost in the Premier League they are however struggling in the Champions League with a recent loss to Bundesliga side Bayer Leverkusen. On top of that they are now out of the League Cup having lost 2 – 1 away from home to Liverpool. The clubs last result was a lot better with them drawing away from home 1 – 1 to bitter rivals Arsenal who are currently three points above in the table.

West Ham United have been terrible for most of this season and have only just starting winning with results over Crystal Palace and Sunderland. They did however follow up with a 2 – 0 loss away from home to in form Everton and then before the international break had to share the points with visitors Stoke City. The Hammers did take the lead with an own goal yet ten minutes later lost out when Bojan equalized.

I do feel sorry for West Ham United who in the next five games face some of the toughest teams in the Premier League currently. If the game against Tottenham Hotspurs on Saturday wasn’t tough enough they then have to face Manchester United twice in three days and then Arsenal. The last of the five games ends with an away visit to current league leaders Liverpool who seem to be possessed when it comes down to scoring goals.

Tottenham Hotspur Team News:

We already know that Dele Alli is a doubt for this game, with the midfielder being injured recently. He missed out for England with his hip and I am not sure if he will be risked for the game against West Ham. Harry Kane was sent home from England duty to help his recovery while Erik Lamela (hip), Toby Alderweireld (leg) and Ben Davies (ankle) are all out missing.

West Ham United Team News:

West Ham United welcome back striker Diafra Sakho who seems to have recovered from a back injury, and this could be his first game for The Hammers this season. Andy Carroll is still missing while James Collins seems to have recovered from a knock. Winston Reid is back after missing out due to a suspension and a hamstring injury and will no doubt be captain for the day with Mark Nobel suspended.

West Ham United: D L W W W

Shockingly enough it is actually West Ham United who are the best team in form right now with Tottenham Hotspurs having failed to win a game in the last seven games in all competition. Granted they have faced the tough teams and we did see them draw their local derby against Arsenal. Although I have to put the below selection, I can’t see them winning this Saturday.

Tottenham Hotspur v West Ham United Match Predictions, Banker Tips & First Goal Scorer Bets

It’s back to Premier League action this weekend after a week of international football. This Saturdays game will see home side Tottenham Hotspur welcome fellow Londoners West Ham United as they look for their first win since way back at the beginning of October. They have drawn five of their last seven games with the two loses coming to Liverpool in the League Cup as well as Bayer Levekusen in the Champions League.

Although Spurs should win this game at home on Saturday they then do also return to some tough games with an away fixture to Monaco in the Champions League as well as a visit to Stamford Bridge to face Chelsea. It’s Swansea City after that at home which should be three points for the London club, and then back to the Champions League when the welcome CSKA Moskva.

West Ham United however really do need to capitalize on their opponents lack of wins and start to seriously mount their own season comeback. They are by far the team they have been in recent years and currently only sit one point outside the relegation zone ahead of Hull City. A win on Saturday could see The Hammers rise to as much as tenth which would be one hell of a come back considering their start of the season.

My predictions for this game do not however back that of West Ham United to win, with me instead leaning more towards the two drawing if West Ham are to get anything out of this game. My banker tip will be to back Spurs to get back to winning ways on Saturday and for that I plan to take both teams to score and the home win. The next I am going for is a draw of some kind and with that I am leaning towats a 1 – 1 score line.
