Newcastle United v Manchester City Preview, Premiership, Tuesday 19th April 2016

Newcastle United head into this game on Tuesday night having given themselves a real chance of escaping relegation the to championship after an impressive 3-0 victory at home against Swansea City last weekend and although the hosts face a difficult task taking on big spending Manchester City, those important 3pts over the weekend will surely have gone a long way to installing some much needed confidence back into the team.

Manchester City head into this game having also run out comfortable 3-0 winners in their match over the weekend just gone when taking on Chelsea at Stamford Bridge with Argentinian hitman Sergio Aguero scoring a hatrick in that match.

That victory saw Manchester City climb up into 3rd place in the premiership league table and a point ahead of Arsenal who take on Crystal Palace at the Emirates Stadium on Sunday afternoon and it looks like being a tight race between City and Arsenal to who secures the final champions league group stage spot for next season.

Newcastle United Team News (Courtesy of PremierLeague.com):

No fresh injuries for the hosts and manager Rafa Benitez could welcome Daryl Janmaat back from a groin injury and has seen signs that his players have it within them to escape the drop.

Manchester City Team News (Courtesy of PremierLeague.com):

Yaya Toure returned from a knee injury at Stamford Bridge, but Gael Clichy (back), David Silva (ankle) and Raheem Sterling (groin) will not feature. Vincent Kompany is a potential addition to Pellegrini’s squad after his latest calf issue, though Eliaquim Mangala and Nicolas Otamendi have helped see out consecutive clean sheets.

Newcastle United v Manchester City Match Predictions, Tips & First Goal Scorer Bets.

Newcastle United certainly deserved their 3-0 victory against Swansea City over the weekend, but it was evident that Swansea rested a few of their star players for that game and the hosts will find this match a much more difficult game.

Manchester City showed no signs of a champions league hangover when putting Chelsea to the sword 3-0 away at Stamford Bridge, Aguero showing why he is currently rated right up there as one of the best players in the world at the moment by scoring a hatrick in that match.

Newcastle United will no doubt give this game everything they have in an attempt to try and salvage at least something from the game, but unfortunately I just don’t see their squad being anywhere near strong enough to cope with this Manchester City squad who at the moment are brimming with confidence after their champions league exploits.

Onto some predictions then and my Banker Free Tip for this game is going to be for Manchester City to Win as the odds available for the visitors to pick up the victory are good value in my opinion considering who they are playing and this should be business as usual for City come Tuesday night.

My First Goalscorer Free Tip will be for Manchester City striker Sergio Aguero to score the first goal of the game as with him having scored a hatrick against Chelsea over the weekend, he will be in confident mood of adding at least another couple to his tally in this one.
