Real Madrid vs Levante Preview, Primera La Liga, Sunday 15th March 2015

Real Madrid are going through a tough time of the season and this was once again the case mid week when they welcomed the German team Shalke 04. It was a pulsating game for the fans and a difficult one for the players as they suffered a 3-4 home loss however, they did still qualify for the last eight winning the tie 5-4 overall.

Carlo Ancelotti now looks certain to lose his job in the summer unless they can win the Champions league and the Primera La Liga. Gareth Bale did not play well against Schalke and still receives criticism from many of the Real Madrid fans. after the match Bale was abused by the fans and a return to English football certainly looks likely for the Welshman.

Levante’s home form has been getting a lot better in recent weeks and as a result they have moved themselves out of the bottom three of the league which will have made the fans a little happier. Getting a result here though will be a very tough ask even with the home side having a few problems in recent weeks. Levante have won just once all season away from home and have lost a worrying eight times.

The away team will need to get into Real madrid early and be the first team to score if they are to stand a chance of getting something from arguably the toughest game for most teams over the course of the season.

Real Madrid Team News:

Manager Carlo Ancelotti will be without James Rodriguez as he has a fractured metatarsal. Sergio Ramos is also set to miss out with a torn muscle. Real Madrid have no suspensions going into this game which will delight the manager. Gareth bale might be dropped to bench which would give Jese the opportunity to get a chance in the starting eleven.

Levante Team News:

Manager Lucas Alcaraz will be slightly concerned with the amount of injured players that he has going into this tough away game against Real Madrid. Pedro and Ivan Lopez have a muscle and a groin problem. Sissoko also has a problem with his muscle and Victor Perez is unavailable as he has no eligibility.

Real Madrid vs Levante Head to Head Statistics:

These two teams have played each other 17 times prior to this match over the years and it is Real Madrid who hold the clear advantage having won 13 times with 7 coming at home. Levante have won just 3 times with 1 coming at the Bernabeu. There has been a total of 1 draw with that coming at Levante’s stadium.

Real Madrid vs Levante Recent Form (Left to Right)

Real Madrid: W W D L L

Levante: W L W L W

It is clear to see that both sides haven’t been in great form in their last 5 matches and surprisingly it is Levante who are currently in the best form right now having won three and lost two compared to Real Madrid who have won two, lost two and drew the once.

Recent Form Stats Pick: Levante to win @ 40/1 with BetVictor – £25 Free Bets for New Customers.

Real Madrid vs Levante Average Goals Per Game Statistics

In the 17 games these two teams have played against each other there was a total of 63 goals, which gives us an average goals per game statistic of 3.70.

Neither side have been in prolific goal scoring form as of late but that could change on Sunday night because Real Madrid will be looking to bounce back from their two defeats in a row against Athletic Bilbao and Shalke 04 respectively.

Real Madrid vs Levante Match Betting Odds Market

Real Madrid are at home on Sunday night and I think that will give them a lot of encouragement to go and get the win to restore a little bit of faith and to please the fans who are not used to back to back defeats. Real Madrid are at a current best price of 1/18 with LadBrokes – £25 Free Bets for New Customers.

The Draw is a more unlikely outcome than Real Madrid winning however, it is a more like outcome than Levante winning the game. In the last five matches played between the two clubs there has been no draws and in the last 17 games there has only been 1 draw which, was not at the Santiago Bernabeu. The best price is 14/1 with BetVictor – £25 Free Bets for New Customers.

Levante travel to the Bernabeu in better form however, I cannot foresee them winning this game, I imagine Levante will not score a single goal as I think Real Madrid have too much quality for the La Liga struggling side. The best price is 40/1 with BetVictor – £25 Free Bets for New Customers.

Real Madrid vs Levante Match Predictions, Tips & First Goal Scorer Bets.

This exciting clash will take place on Sunday night and will be shown live on Sky Sports 5 high definition. It will feature 2nd place team Real Madrid play host to 17th place team Levante. This is an important game for both teams and for very different reasons. Real Madrid need to win to keep up the pressure on Barcelona at the top of the table however, Levante need to get something from the game to ensure they do not slip back into those dreaded relegation places.

This has been a very difficult period for Real Madrid but this is a chance to build up some confidence again with them having an important top of the table crunch game with bitter rivals Barcelona. Ronaldo scored two goals in the Champions league and I would not back against him doing the same in this game on Sunday night.

Even on this bad run Real Madrid have been pretty good at home and I think this will be a good game for them to get back to winning ways after suffering back to back defeats for the first time this year.

Time for my predictions now and it has been a bit difficult to get some value from the current betting markets available but  I have chosen to opt for Real Madrid to win by four or more goals as my Banker selection for this game with a Saver of Ronaldo to Score at Hat-trick.
