Aston Villa v Leicester City Preview, FA Cup 5th Round, Sunday 15th February 2015
Aston Villa head into this match on Sunday afternoon having so far endured a very difficult season where they have won just five times in the league and currently occupy 18th position of the league table and it came as no real surprise to see their manager Paul Lambert handed his p45.
This cup competition will bring some rest bite and a welcome distraction for both the players and fans and with home advantage, Aston Villa have a real chance to turn their season around with a victory in this one.
Leicester City are also having a very tough time of it in the league this season and they have only managed to win just four matches and currently occupy bottom of the league table and look a mere shadow of the side that spectacularly came from two goals behind against Manchester United to win the game 5-3 and I really can’t see them getting anything from this one as the morale and confidence at the club is obviously at rock bottom at the moment.
Aston Villa Team News:
Philippe Senderos (calf) and Libor Kozak (broken leg) are the only two players unavailable for the hosts as they continue to receive treatment for respective injury related problems. Ron Vlaar has now fully recovered from a knee injury and looks likely to start along with striker Christian Benteke who has started the last two games on the bench.
Leicester City Team News:
Chris Wood (ankle), Kasper Schmeichel (metatarsel) and Roberth Huth (cup tied) are all unavailable for the visitors. Matthew Upson will under take a late fitness test to see if he can be involved having been forced to come off in the 2-1 defeat against Arsenal midweek.

Aston Villa v Leicester City Match Predictions, Tips & First Goal Scorer Bets.
Based on both clubs form this season this really is a game that could go either way on Sunday afternoon, but with Aston Villa having finally got rid of Paul Lambert, who in my opinion didn’t have a clue what he was doing, they can now start a fresh and I can certainly see a lot of the players being much happier at the club now that he has gone.
Christian Benteke will be one of those players as he has had to endure many games on the bench whilst Lambert was in charge and he will certainly be looking to put in a good performance in this game to show the new manager that comes in that he is worthy of a starting place each and every week.
Leicester City have struggled this season in the league and do look red hot favourites to go back down to the the Championship come May. However, the players will definitely believe they can win this game as they did beat Villa 1-0 in the last meeting in the league which came at the King Power Stadium and I can see the visitors getting at least one goal in this game.
However, the stand out wager for this game and my Banker Prediction has to be Over 2.5 Goals as with the average goals per game statistics showing very high numbers for both overall and match, this game looks destined to see at least 3 when all is said and done.
My Saver is going to be Christian Benteke to Score & Aston Villa to Win as I believe they will prove just the stronger of the two teams.
