Borussia Dortmund v Hamburg Preview, Bundesliga, Saturday 14th September 2013

With Jurgen Klopp being pronounced as unsackable by chief executive Hans-Joachim Watzke, he is also adamant that the successful coach will be staying at the German club for many years to come much to the admiration of loyal Dortmund fans. Since 2008 he has lead them to two Bundesliga titles, a DFB-Pokal Cup and the UEFA Champions League final last season where they sadly ended up as runners up after 90 minutes.

Hamburg finally kick started their campaign in their last match back at the end of August in a 4 – 0 win against Braunschweig at home. With so far suffering two loses to Hertha away and then also Hoffenheim at home where they got hammered 5 goals to 1 after goals from Volland and braces by Firmino and Modeste.

Borussia Dortmund v Hamburg Team News

Borussia Dortmund Team News:

As the only club who have kept their 100% record this season Borussia Dortmund now sit top of the table with 4 straight wins while scoring 9 goals and conceding only 2, with only last years champions close behind them it could once again look set for a two horse race until the end of the season.

Hamburg Team News:

Right back Dennis Diekmeier has been given an ultimatum by club officials in regards to his contract offer and told to take it or leave it as the player continues to hold the club to ransom for a better deal. With the promising 23 year old under contract to the end of the season the club are now coming to terms that the player will leave when his contract ends this year.

Borussia Dortmund v Hamburg Match Predictions, Tips & First Goal Scorer Bets.

Although Borussia Dortmund are sitting comfortably at the top of the league I am not 100% convinced they are firing on all cylinders just yet with their strikers not currently scoring on a regular basis much like last year, and although new signing Aubameyang hit a hat-trick in his first game he has since then struggled to get his name on the score sheet. With Lewandowski also scoring goals it will come down to the Pol to continue his fine form from last years campaign. Dortmund have only scored big in their first game of the season and have since then been winning by 1 goal margins. But regardless of them stats for my prediction I am going to go for a 3 – 1 Dortmund win and also for Lewandowski to score first.
