Arsenal v Watford Preview, FA Cup, Quarter Final, Sunday 13th March 2016

Arsenal head into this game with confidence restored after their convincing 4-0 victory away against Hull City in the FA Cup 5th round replay midweek and with the title race far from over, both the fans and players will be confident of keeping their title hopes intact with a victory in this one.

Watford head into this game having had a tough few weeks in which they have failed to win any of their previous three games played, they did manage a 1-0 victory at home against Leeds United in the 4th round of this competition, but the visitors face a difficult task on Sunday afternoon going up a strong looking Arsenal side.

Arsenal Team News:

The hosts have a number of casualties for this game and will be without the services of Koscielny, Cazorla, Chech, Oxlade-Chamberlain, Ramsey, Wilshere and Rosicky. Oliver Giroud will spearhead the attack with Theo Walcott and Alexis Sanchez providing the support from the flanks with Mesut Ozil sitting in the pocket just behind the main striker.

Watford Team News:

The visitors have a few casualties for this match and will be without the services of Bristos, Ekstrand and Jurado. Cathcart is a major doubt also as he struggles to shake off a calf problem. Ighalo will lead the attack up front with support in behind being provided by Capoue, Abdi and Troy Deeney.

Arsenal v Watford Match Predictions, Tips & First Goal Scorer Bets.

Arsenal certainly have the stronger squad available for this game and with home advantage I really can’t see how Watford can win this game.

Arsenal played very well in their 4-0 win away against Hull City last time out and although I don’t expect this match to see Arsenal winning by four clear goals, I do think the hosts will be comfortable winners on the day.

Watford do have a real threat in their attack and both Ighalo and Deeney have linked up very well this season and are certainly not without a chance of getting one goal in this match, however I very much doubt that we will see more than one Watford goal in this match if at all and this match really does look like a home win banker from this weekend’s fixtures.

Onto some predictions then and my Banker Free Tip for this game is going to be for Oliver Giroud to Score at Anytime and Arsenal to Win as with home advantage and heading into this game on the back of that 4-0 demolition of Hull City last time out, the hosts will definitely be the more confident.

My First Goalscorer Free Tip will be for Arsenal striker Oliver Giroud to score the first goal of the game as with two goals in that 4-0 win against Hull City, he looks good odds to open up the scoring for his side.
