Queens Park Rangers v Nottingham Forest Preview, Championship, Saturday 12th September 2015

Queens Park Rangers have had a decent start to life back in the Championship with them currently sitting 4th on ten points. Hull City who were also relegated from the Premier League last season are also on ten points as well as Ipswich Town who both just sit above QPR. They have however been knocked out of the Capital One Cup with a 2 – 1 loss at home against League Two side Carlisle United, which would be considered as a rather disappointing result considering the gap between quality of player. Queens Park Rangers have a run of tough upcoming fixtures with Hull City and Blackburn Rovers among them. Although Nottingham Forest and Blackburn Rovers haven’t had the best of starts, they will certainly be hard opponents when looking for the win.

It’s been a terrible start once again for Nottingham Forest who have so far only won the once against Rotherham United at home. They have also drawn twice against Charlton Athletic and Bolton Wanderers and then the recent loss at home to 5th place Cardiff City. Nottingham Forest, like Queens Park Rangers, also find themselves knocked out of the domestic league cup, and also find themselves losing to a lower league team with Walsall winning 4 – 3 away from home. Forest also have some very tough teams coming up and are unlikely to earn many, if any points against Birmingham City and Middlesbrough. They then face Huddersfield Town away from home in which they could win, but then have to face Hull City at home, which will also not be easy.

Queens Park Rangers Team News:

Gabriele Angella looks likely to make his debut on Saturday against Forest which is good news for Rangers, but sadly they will not see South Korean Yun-Suk Young as he now needs fitness following his knee injury. The side are without three midfielders for Saturday with Sandro, Jamie Mackie and Leroy Fer all sitting out.

Nottingham Forest Team News:

Jamie Ward is unlikely to feature for Forest as he still recovers from a hamstring injury, but Ben Osborn and Dexter Blackstock are expected to be available for selection. Jonny Williams still needs to improve his fitness but we could see new loan signings Ryan Mendes, Chris O’Grady and Nelson Oliveira play the game at some stage.

Queens Park Rangers v Nottingham Forest Match Predictions, Tips & First Goal Scorer Bets.

Championship action this Saturday features Queens Park Rangers at home against Nottingham Forest who have so far once again failed to impress. With QPR being relegated last year they are a team who will be doing their best to regain access into the English top league. With the International break truly over you can view this game live on Sky Sports 1 High Definition from Loftus Road this Saturday lunchtime. The home side are the solid favourites for the win and the leading bookmakers are not given out much hope of an away win come tomorrow.

Nottingham Forest started the season badly last year also but then had a run of solid winning games that eventually see them finish just below mid table. Queens Park Rangers endured a terrible experience in the Premiership last season and finished truly routed to the bottom with only eight wins all season. They finished with just thirty points which was in the end eight points adrift Aston Villa in safety. If they were promoted at the end of this season I am still unsure on if they can manage to stay up and put up a good fight against the elite.

My predictions for Saturdays game will see Queens Park Rangers come out as the easy winners as sadly right now I just don’t feel Forest have much to offer when it comes down to any serious promotion push. I am thinking of going with a correct scoreline prediction of Queens Park Rangers to WIN 3 – 1. The other I am planning to take is Charlie Austin to score and for Queens Park Rangers to win the match.
