West Ham United v Manchester United Preview, Premiership, Tuesday 10th May 2016

West Ham United seem to have thrown any real chance of obtaining a place in europe next season with their 4-1 defeat at home over the weekend against Swansea City as they would need to win this game on Tuesday night along with their final game of the season this weekend away against Stoke City and unfortunatley I just don’t see them winning either as they were extremely poor against Swansea City and the players did look like they were more interested in their upcoming holiday’s than they were in playing football.

Manchester United kept their hopes alive of not only making a place in europe next season, but a possible champions league spot with their 1-0 victory away against Norwich City in their match over the weekend, that victory now puts them just one point behind 4th placed Manchester City

West Ham United Team News:

The hosts have almost a full squad available for this game with the only absentee being goalkeeper Adrian who is still out receiving treatment for a calf injury.

Manchester United Team News:

The visitors will be without Luke Shaw and Bastian Schweinsteiger as both players continue to receive treatment for respective injury related problems. Matteo Darmian and Anthony Martial are both carrying knocks picked up in recent matches and will both undertake a late fitness test to see if they can be involved.

West Ham United v Manchester City Head to Head Statistics:

355 Goals have been scored in the previous 112 matches played between the two clubs over the years, which provides us with an average goals per game statistic of 3.17.

177 of those Goals have been scored in the previous 56 matches played at the Boleyn Ground and this generates an average goals per game statistics of 3.16.

The statistics data shown above seem to suggest that this game should see it’s fair share of goals scored in this match and betting markets like 2 or 3 Goals and Both Teams to Score both look good betting options for this match.

West Ham United v Manchester United Match Betting Odds Market

West Ham United will have to play a lot better in this game than they did against Swansea City last time out, but with all hope of making a place in europe next season pretty much gone, I can’t honestly see them being good enough to win this game despite their current best price of 11/8 with BetVictor – Receive £25 Free Bets when Registering a New Account, suggesting otherwise.

The Draw has happened three times in the previous five matches played between the two clubs and is probably the best result that West Ham United could manage to get in my opinion and this can be backed at a current best price of 12/5 with Bet365 – Receive £200 Matched Bonus Bets when Registering a New Account.

Manchester United are still on the hunt for that final champions league place and I do expect them to win this game on Tuesday night and for me their current best price of 11/8 with BetFred – Bet £10 & Receive £30 Free Bets when Registering a New Account, does look the value play here.

West Ham United v Manchester United Match Predictions, Tips & First Goal Scorer Bets.

West Ham United will be kicking themselves if they don’t qualify for european football next season as a few weeks back they look destined to secure at least a europa league place, but some poor results in their last five matches, one being that 4-1 defeat at home last weekend against Swansea City have really put paid to any chance really now of securing even that and I think the players will all be fully aware of that and as such not really bothered about the outcome of this match on Tuesday night.

Manchester United on the other hand though will be playing some sort of european football next season as they are almost certain to be playing in the europa league and if they can win their final two games of the season and Manchester City slip up, then they will claim the final uefa champions league place !

For me that is all the incentive needed for the Manchester United players to put their holiday plans on hold for the moment and give their manager and fans 100% effort in these final two matches.

Onto some predictions then and my Banker Free Tip for this match is going to be for Manchester United to Win as with a place in the biggest football stage in the world still within reach, I don’t expect the players to come up short on Tuesday night.

My First Goalscorer Free Tip will be Manchester United striker Anthony Martial to score the first goal of the match for his team as I have been really impressed with his finishing technique this season when he has found the space in front of goal and with him being the current top goalscorer for this club this season, he does look the stand out choice here.
