West Ham United v Manchester United Preview, Premiership, Sunday 8th February 2015

It has been a good season for West Ham fans so far and both the players and fans will be hoping that they can at least secure some sort of European football for next season if they can continue their good form.

Sam Allardyce has brought in a number of world class players to the club with the likes of Diafra Sakho, Enner Valencia, Alex Song and Cheikhou Kouyate and if these players can remain injury free for the rest of the season, then the club does have a very good chance of finishing in a top 5 or 6 position in the league come May.

Manchester United fans have had to endure a couple of seasons of performances that they have not been used to seeing, but with Louis Van Gaal now having found the right method of play for the side, the Red Devils have been starting to put the results together and do look a much better side than they have done over the past couple of seasons.

The Premiership title is still within their grasp, but any dropped points from now on in would see that quickly disappear and the players that take to the field for this game on Sunday afternoon will know the importance of winning this one.

West Ham United Team News:

Winston Reid and James Collins are both unavailable for the hosts as they struggle with hamstring pulls and Andy Carroll also looks likely to miss out having picked up a knock in the defeat against Liverpool last time out and both Deigo Poyet and Doneil Henry will under take a late fitness test to see if they can be involved as both have been carry knocks. Cheikhou Kouyate could return back into the starting lineup having now fully recovered from an ankle problem.

Manchester United Team News:

Michael Carrick is the only player unavailable for the visitors as he receives treatment for a calf strain. Radamel Falcao and Ashley Young have now both recovered from recent injuries and both look likely to start this one. Robin Van Persie should lead the attack up front with the Colombian Falcao with Wayne Rooney providing support in a position just in behind the front two.

West Ham United v Manchester United Match Predictions, Tips & First Goal Scorer Bets.

West Ham have been doing much better than expected this season and have been very much the surprise team in the league along with Southampton and with confidence within the squad at an all time high, the players will certainly believe that they can win this game.

Manchester United have started to look like the force of old and with some exciting players like Angel Di Maria and Radamel Falcao having joined the club this season, they also will believe that they can continue winning ways and return back home with maximum points.

A defeat for United would pretty much spell the end of any real title hopes and the players will obviously be fully aware of that fact, so I am expecting United to probably just edge this game on Sunday afternoon.

However, I have been extremely impressed with how West Ham have played this season and I do seem them running Manchester United very close in this game and even the possibility of this one resulting in both clubs having to share the points.

My Banker prediction is going to be for this game to see a minimum of 3 goals scored as I really can see this one ending up as 2-1, 2-2 or even 3-2 and the Over 2.5 Goals betting market looks the nailed on choice here at good odds.

My Saver is going to be for Both Teams to Score & Draw as West Ham are playing some great football this season and are more than capable of securing at least something from this one.
