Aston Villa v West Bromwich Albion Preview, FA Cup, Saturday 7th March 2015

Aston Villa come into this game off the back of a good win the Premier league on Tuesday night against West Brom who are their opponents for this game. Gabby Agbonlahor opened the scoring in the first half only for the inform Berahino to level up the match early in the second half.

The game looked to be heading for a draw until the home side were awarded a penalty in the fourth minuted of added on time. Injury struck Benteke stepped up to finish with aplomb. The last round in this competition Aston Villa overcame Leicester City at home by two goals to one.

West Bromwich Albion were very unlucky on Tuesday not to leave Villa Park with a point as the penalty was harsh and they played pretty well. Hopefully it will not affect the mentality of the players heading into this game as there is a place in the Semi Final of the Fa Cup up for grabs for the winners. Berahino got on the score sheet on Tuesday and he will be Tony Pulis’ first name on the team sheet on Saturday evening.

Aston Villa v West Bromwich Albion Match Predictions, Tips & First Goal Scorer Bets.

FA Cup action on Saturday evening will be coming from Villa Park when two Premier league teams mean in the Quarter final stage with a lot at stake for both teams who are not doing that well in the domestic campaign. This fixture was played last weekend in the Premier league and the game went in favour of the home team thanks to a late penalty from the injury struck Benteke. Tim Sherwood was over the moon when the spot kick hit the back of the net and that just goes to show how much passion he has for football and the club he manages.

However, if they are to lose the game then then he will not be too concerned as I believe when he was enrolled as the new head coach his primary objective was to stay in the Premier league come the end of May. If Sherwood can get the best out of Benteke and keep him fit and scoring then they will have a real chance of survival.

My predictions for the game are going to be Benteke to score and Aston Villa to win as I think he will be full of confidence after his late penalty winner last weekend.

My Saver is going to be a correct score of 2-1 to Aston Villa as I think new manager Tim Sherwood will probably set up in his side in the same way he did against West Brom last time out and we just might see the same outcome.
