Germany v Hungary Preview, International Friendly, Saturday 4th June 2016

Germany are having a bit of a bad time of it lately as they head into this friendly match against Hungary having lost four of their last six matches and that is something that is pretty much unheard of when it comes to a power house giant like Germany !

Failure to win this game on Saturday evening in the Veltins Arena would really have people questioning their chances of winning the upcoming European Tournaments which are scheduled to begin next week over in France.

Germany face Poland, Ukraine and Northern Ireland in Group D of their qualification group.

Hungary head into this game having had a much better time of it than their hosts as they have lost just once in their previous six matches played, winning three and drawing two of the remainder and the whole squad will fancy their chances of causing a bit of an upset on Saturday evening.

Hungary face Portugual, Austria and Iceland in Group F of their qualification group.

Germany Team News:

The hosts will be without Ilkay Gundogan and Marco Reus for this match as both players continue to receive treatment for injury related problems. Other than these two players though Germany have a full squad to choose their starting lineup from which will likely see Thomas Muller and Mario Gomez leading the attack up front.

Hungary Team News:

The visitors will be without the services of Adam Bogdan for this game as he continue to receive treatment for an injury related problem, but Krisztian Nemeth, Akos Elek and Adam Lang have all been passed fit to make the squad and will be hoping to be involved.

Germany v Hungary Match Predictions, Tips & First Goal Scorer Bets

Although Germany have not been playing well of late, I do expect them to win this game on Saturday evening as with the European Championships just eight days away this match provides the whole team with the perfect chance to head into that tournament off the back of a confident victory and I don’t expect them to disappoint.

Hungary are slightly just the form team heading into this match as they have only lost once in their previous six matches played, compared to Germany who have lost an incredible four times !

So we can’t completely rule them out of possibly snatching a draw in this game although I do think that is probably the best result they can achieve on Saturday evening, so it could be a sensible choice to get something on this game finishing all square as your main cover bet.

Onto some predictions then and for me this is German win all the way and my Banker Free Tip will be for Thomas Muller to get his name on the scoresheet at some point during this match.

Im also going for Muller to Score the First Goal of this game as my First Goalscorer Free Tip as with home advantage against Hungary and looking to head into the European Championship Finals in France next week on a high, I am expecting this Germany side to win this match quite comfortably.
