Hull City v Arsenal Preview, Premiership, Monday 4th May 2015.

I can’t help but feel it is Hull City who are one of the favourites to go down with just four games left to play. Their final run of games isn’t really pleasant with Arsenal on Monday, as well as Tottenham Hotspurs and Manchester United who are all fighting for a top four finish. They do also face bottom of the league Burnley who themselves are now close to coming to terms with being one of the three teams likely to be relegated. Their only away game is to London club Tottenham Hotspurs, although their home form hasn’t been anything worth writing home about so far this season. The club are just one point outside the drop zone, and with the form Leicester City and Sunderland are in right now, surely that can only worry Hull’s boss Steve Bruce.

Arsenal are the only side currently able to win the league this year out of any of those challenging Chelsea. But even then the odds on Chelsea losing all of their remaining games is extremely slim. Jose Mourinho’s side could win the league on Sunday when they face Crystal Palace, so come Monday when this game takes place the title race could already be over, and then the fight for second with Manchester City and Manchester United can take place, although Arsenal are favourites to take that spot with them having a game in hand over their opponents. Arsenal also still have another game left to play come the end of the season, with that being the FA Cup Final clash against Aston Villa.

Hull City Team News:

Steve Bruce has been without new signing Robert Snodgrass all season, with the Scottish international only playing the once game before being injured with his knee injury back in August of last year. Andrew Robertson is out with an ankle injury, while Mohamed Diame has a knee issue.

Arsenal Team News:

Arsenal are nearly a fully fit squad and it must be heart breaking that a majority of them have returned in the last few months. They still have Abou Diaby out injured with a calf strain and will no doubt miss the remaining games of this season.

Hull City v Arsenal Head to Head Statistics:

In the last five head to head encounters we can see it is Arsenal who are the dominant side with four wins and a 2 – 2 draw. We only have ten games recorded between the two clubs where Hull City have only won the once, and also the two clubs have only drawn one.

Hull City v Arsenal Match Predictions, Tips & First Goal Scorer Bets.

Premiership Monday night action comes live from Sky Sports 1 High Definition and features home side Hull City verses Arsenal. Hull City are fighting for relegation survival and must treat this fixture as a must win game, however impossible that may feel for the club and its fans. As lets face it, this Arsenal side are in extremely good form right now with them having not lost a game since that home leg against Monaco back in March of this year.

Hull City have won their last two games which was against tough sides Crystal Palace and more so Liverpool recently. Yet they did lose the previous three games against Chelsea, Swansea City and Southampton. They are only one point outside the relegation zone and only a couple of wins will be acceptable if they wish to remain in this division come the end of the season. If they did manage a rare win on Monday night then I do feel Hull City will survive this year and continue to grow for next season with a few new additions.

My predictions for this game however do not see Hull City winning at all, although I could see them maybe managing a draw if they do play exceptionally well and Arsenal fail to do so themselves. So for the first I feel I will go for both teams to score and draw the game. With the second being a complete opposite prediction with Arsenal to win the game 3 – 1 after ninety minutes of exciting action.
