Real Madrid v Valencia Preview, Primera La Liga, Sunday 4th May 2014

Real Madrid have a game in hand this year which will continue to put pressure on current leaders and bitter rivals Atletico Madrid. If Real Madrid win all of their remaining four games and Atletico Madrid lose to Barcelona in their last game of the season we would see Ream Madrid crowned the La Liga Champions as they have a better goal difference as well as them beating Atletico once as well as earning a draw. They also have to face Atletico Madrid in the Champions League Final which will no doubt prove to be an extremely exciting game come the 24th May.

Valencia have nothing left to fight for this season but pride, they are currently in 8th position in the league but could slip further down the table with a lose to Real Madrid on Sunday night. Valencia were so close to booking their place in the Europa League Final this week after beating Sevilla 3 – 0 until a 90th minute away goal was scored. Which in turn knocked Valencia out and see Sevilla set to face Benfica in the final after they beat Juventus 2 – 1 on aggregate.

Real Madrid v Valencia Team News

Real Madrid Team News:

Real Madrid’s injury list has cleared up a little recently and now only have three players out. Arbeloa is the first with a knee injury while long term injury hit Sami Khedira and Jese Rodriguez are both missing due to crucial knee ligament damage. We also see Jaime Romero missing this game due to suspension after reaching a yellow card limit.

Valencia Team News:

Valencia have four injured players missing from this game with the first being Juan Bernat with an inknow issue, while Switz defender Senderos and Spaniard Victor Ruiz are out with hamstring pulls. The last is Brazilian player Diego Alves who has a thigh muscle strain.

In these 45 games played in total we have seen 143 goals scored between both sides which is giving us an average of 3.2 goals per game. Looking at the table above however you would want to use that statistic for any total goals bets. Good thing is however we can hope for an exciting game with lots of great goals with a majority of them being scored by Real Madrid.

Real Madrid v Valencia Recent Form (Left to Right)

Real Madrid: W W W W W

Valencia: W D L L W

Real Madrid are in exceptional form right now with their last game seeing them destroy Bayern Munich 4 – 0 away from home. It was their first victory against the club in Germany and what a memorable one it was as they are now due to play in the Champions League final on the 24th May. Valencia are also in a mixed form here and almost booked a place in this years Europa League final only to concede a late away goal against Sevilla.

Real Madrid v Valencia Match Betting Odds Market.

Real Madrid are solid favourites for the win this Sunday and will need to win all of their remaining four league games if they are to have any chance of stealing the title from Atletico Madrid. The bookies best odds can be seen here @ 2/13 with Coral – Receive £50 Free Bets when Registering a New Account.

The Draw is a good option if Real Madrid fail to show up and play their natural game, although the nerves shouldn’t really effect an experienced side such as Real but if it did they the draw could be seen. The best odds by bookmakers can be found here @ 13/2 with Bet365 – £200 Free Bets For New Customers Registering an Account.

Valencia are seen as having little to no chance of a win here on Sunday and with them having very little left to play for I can understand the bookies odds here. The best of them can be found here and are set @ 20/1 with BetVictor – £25 Free Bets For New Customers Registering an Account.

Real Madrid v Valencia Match Predictions, Tips & First Goal Scorer Bets.

This game on Sunday night displayed on Sky Sports 1 is set to be a great game with Real Madrid hoping to continue the pressure on local rivals Atletico Madrid who currently lead the division with three points clear. But that could change if Barcelona manage to beat them in their last game of the season. This will be a result Real Madrid will be hoping for but of course must concentrate on their own games and grabbing the much needed win.

Valencia have very little to play for the remaining of the season with them now in 8th position. They will want to continue winning however if they wish to stay there as a few teams are close by and could take that position. Real Madrid have already won the Cope del Rey and are also in line for a win in the Champions League final as well as potentially pulling the rug from under Atletico Madrid’s feet if they actually do lose to Barcelona.

My predictions for this game do of course favour Real Madrid who I feel will easily win come Sunday night. In fact it will be a result they must grab if they are to continue fighting for that chance of winning the title this season and ruin Atletico Madrid’s hopes of doing so. So my first will be for Real Madrid to win 2 – 0 on the night will the other will be a total goals prediction of 2 – 3 scored.
