Juventus v Real Madrid Preview, Champions League Final, 3rd June 2017

Could this be the year Juventus finally win the Champions League against Real Madrid? They have played exceptionally well this season with them finishing top of the table once again. Although this year they did only do it by a distance of four points with Roma and Napoli close on their heals. On top of the title win they did also win the Coppa Italia cup making it a double for Juventus.

In the clubs last five games played they did manage to lose one game which was away from home to Roma, but the loss wasn’t enough for them to throw away the league so close to the end of the season. Juventus do have a solid chance of winning this game even though it will be Real Madrid who are the solid favourites to win yet again another Champions League title.

Real Madrid themselves also came top of their domestic league and finally beat Barcelona over the finish line. But unlike their opponents Juventus, they failed to win the domestic cup when they were knocked out in the quarter finals of the Copa del Rey against Celta Vigo 4 – 3 on aggregate. Barcelona themselves actually went on the lift the cup with them also coming in second place in the final table rankings.

Much like Juventus, we do see that Real Madrid did also lose a game in their last five fixtures in all competitions, yet that was away from home in the Champions League semi-final against local rivals Atletico Madrid. Real Madrid went on to win 4 – 2 on aggregate with them winning the home leg 3 – 0 before hand. Could Real Madrid be the first side to win back to back Champions League titles?

Juventus  Team News :

Juventus could potentially see Mario Mandzukic play with him expected to be deemed fit to play against Real Madrid on Saturday, and another joining him in the late fitness tests is Sami Khedira who himself will need to fight against Claudio Marchisio and Miralem Pjanic for a starting position. Out of action though are Daniele Rugani and Marko Pjaca who are both still injured.

Real Madrid Team News :

Big news for Real Madrid who welcome back Gareth Bale after the Welshman has missed out since the end of April with a calf strain. He could start over Isco yet that all depends on a late fitness test. Another name to also become available is Dani Carvajal which would give manager Zidane a full squad to tackle Juventus with come Saturday.

Juventus v Real Madrid Head to Head Statistics:

In the last five games played it is actually Juventus who have enjoyed the better results having won and drawn twice, leaving the last result as a loss back during the 2013 Champions League campaign. In total they have met on eleven occasions with Juventus winning an impressive six times and only losing the three. Which leaves the remaining two games ending as draws of some sort.

Juventus v Real Madrid Match Predictions, Banker Tips & First Goal Scorer Bets

Champions League Final action this Saturday night comes live via BT Sports 2, and of course can be seen in all its glory via high definition and 4k goodness. As we know it is Real Madrid who are the favourites to win this game and it does come as no surprise with them being the better side here. That’s not to take it away from Juventus though as they themselves have had a very productive year doing the domestic double.

If Real Madrid manage to win come Saturday then they will become the first team to ever win the competition back to back with them once before coming very close to doing so. Juventus I am sure will hope they have something to say about this and with them having a very good record against their opponents then they are in for a very good chance of taking home the worlds biggest competition in club level footballing history.

Its a tough one for this game as although you can’t help but fancy Real Madrid to win, their opponents Juventus do have a solid chance at winning this thing come Saturday night. Regardless of that fact, as a neutral myself I do know that the game itself is going to be exciting if their previous meetings are anything to go by. There is a lot to play for this weekend and who knows just which way it will go.

My predictions for this game will be to back both teams for the win. As my banker prediction I am going to take the obvious, with both teams to score on the night and for Real Madrid to win. The next I am going to go for is Juventus to win on the night, but to have to take it into extra time to do so. That is giving some nice odds right now via Betvictor.
