Tottenham Hotspur v Manchester City Preview, Premiership, Sunday 3rd May 2015.

Tottenham Hotspurs still have hopes of finishing in the top four this season and a win over Manchester City will certainly aid in their chances of achieving such a feat. With just twelve points left on offer Spurs would need either Arsenal or either Manchester club to lose a majority of their remaining games, something which is slightly unlikely however. Manchester United host West Bromwich Albion so are favourites to win that, while Arsenal travel to Hull City for Monday nights football game. Europa League is again a good possibility, although Liverpool are currently in that finishing position while on joint points with the London club.

Manchester City have lost two of their last five Premiership games which did end their chances of challenging Chelsea for the title. With a good finish to the season they could still finish top three, although it is a little too close to call right now but a top four finish should easily be on the cards. They have Queens Park Rangers to play who are fighting for their survival so that could be a tough game, and then also finish the fixture list against Southampton who themselves are still in with a good chance of finishing in the top four. Travelling to White Hart Lane will certainly be a tough game, although Manchester City do have a good record when playing Spurs.

Tottenham Hotspur Team News:

Tottenham Hotspurs have a couple of injuries to deal with right now as Ben Davies misses out with a dislocated shoulder. Kyle Walker is still out injured this week as he recovers from an ankle injury.

Manchester City Team News:

Manchester City however do have a bigger list coming into the remaining games of the season, with Samir Nasri out due to a knock and fellow countryman Gael Clichy with his groin. Club captain Kompany is out with a gluteal strain while Yaya Toure has a hamstring pull. Last of all is striker Jovetic with a knock.

Manchester City have to be given the baton here when it comes down to form, even though Tottenham Hotspurs are still doing okay themselves. Although City have lost twice in their last five they have won three and climbed back into second place.

Tottenham Hotspur v Manchester City Match Predictions, Tips & First Goal Scorer Bets.

Premier League action this Sunday afternoon will see us at White Hart Lane for an exciting match for the battle of a top four finish. Tottenham Hotspurs will welcome Manchester City once again to their ground, in a hope of a good win which will see them close the gap between the two clubs to just six points. The chances of Spurs finishing in the top four are extremely slim and would require Arsenal and both Manchester clubs to lose a majority, if not all of their remaining matches.

In regards to the clubs form over the season, their is nothing to write home about either Spurs or City here. Manchester City won the league last season yet are still not good enough to win back to back titles. And with an ageing squad they will certainly need to bring in some young fresh talent over the summer. Tottenham Hotspurs form has been so hit and miss all season it is surprising to even see them sitting in sixth. With the exception of their opening four games with all wins, they have yet since to win more than three on the trot and never seem to be putting in a good run throughout the season.

My predictions for this game will see Manchester City walk away with an easy win, in which I can imagine their being plenty of goals on offer and in turn bring about an exciting game of football for all neutrals to see. So for the first I am going to go with a 3 – 1 win to Manchester City. The next will be for Tottenham Hotspurs to score first, and then for Manchester City to win the game after being behind.
