Tottenham Hotspur v Aston Villa Preview, Premiership, Monday 2nd November 2015.

Tottenham Hotspurs needed a solid result last week and they certainly didn’t fail to deliver when they traveled down south to AFC Bournemouth. The game started terribly for the London club who went 1 – 0 down in the first minute, but eight minutes later Harry Kane who had previously been struggling to score then found the net. The England striker went on to score a further two goals to complete his hat-trick with the game eventually ending 5 – 1 in Tottenham Hotspurs favor. The win ended a pretty poor October having drawn three and then losing to Anderlecht away from home ten days ago. Spurs have a tough run of games coming up with a home and an away fixture in the Europa League. As well as a visit to bitter rivals Arsenal who themselves are in incredible form.

Aston Villa’s season continues to get worse with the owners now sacking that of Tim Sherwood recently. The ex Tottenham Hotspurs boss had only won the one game all season, which was so long ago now when the side met Bournemouth in the first game of the season. The only other point the club have earned all season was that against Sunderland at home, which fully cements Aston Villa to the bottom of the table with just four points from ten games played. Aston Villa have now lost five games in a row with Monday nights fixture against Spurs being favored to be the sixth. Manchester City at home is their next fixture after this and then Everton away from home which could spell even more defeats for a club who seriously need to start winning or face relegation.

Tottenham Hotspur Team News:

Tottenham Hotspurs do have a number of injuries right now with Nabil Bentaleb still missing due to his ankle problem. Nacer Chadli also misses out with an ankle issue and isn’t likely to be back until the end of November. Federico Fazio is out with a back injury whileAlex Pritchard (ankle) and Heung-Min Son (foot) are also still out of action while Thomas Carroll could potentially make the bench after recovering from a knock.

Aston Villa Team News:

Aston Villa are not on the list of teams who have serious injury worries right now, with only two players showing some doubt for Monday nights game. Joleon Lescott missed the recent Capital One Cup clash against Southampton with a knock, and although could be a doubt to start, we could potentially see the defender on the bench. Fellow defender Micah Richards is another who missed the loss against Southampton, and is much like Lescott in terms of a potential start.

Tottenham Hotspur v Aston Villa Head to Head Statistics:

In the last five head to head encounters we have pretty much seen Tottenham Hotspurs dominate Aston Villa with four convincing wins both home and away. However the last time these two met back in April, Aston Villa come out winners away from home which eventually went on to aid in them securing another season in the Premiership. In total we have 141 games recorded between these two clubs in which Spurs are out in front with 60 wins and 32 draws. Leaving Bournemouth with 49 wins in total which is nothing to be laughed at.

Previous Average Goals Per Game Statistics

In the 141 games played out between these two clubs we have seen a total of 437 goals scored. This is going to give us an average of 3.1 goals per game which isn’t that far off when looking at the above head to head table. I’d be inclined to go for something like the below option for Mondays game.

Aston Villa are in dismal form right now and haven’t won a game in the Premiership since way back in August when they met Bournemouth for the first game of the season. Tottenham Hotspurs ended a bad month with a win over AFC Bournemouth last weekend, and are of course favourites to win this fixture come Monday night.

Tottenham Hotspur v Aston Villa Match Betting Odds Market

Tottenham Hotspur are the clear and solid favourites to win on Monday night and it comes as no surprise when looking at their opponents current run of form. Best odds from the bookmakers can be seen coming in here @ 4/9 with Coral – Bet £5 & Get £20 Free when Registering a New Account.

The Draw is the best Aston Villa could hope for on Monday as a win away from home is seriously a doubt when considering their run of form. Best odds for the draw currently can be found coming in here @ 4/1 with Bet365 – Receive £200 Matched Bets when You Register a New Account

Aston Villa are seen as very unlikely to come away with a win at White Hart Lane and you can’t blame the bookmakers for predicting such a result. A win would be the clubs second in the league all season, and I am highly doubting it possible with the best odds found here @ 8/1 with Betvictor – £50 Free Bets for New Customers when Registering a New Account

Tottenham Hotspur v Aston Villa Match Predictions, Tips & First Goal Scorer Bets.

Monday night football this week features Tottenham Hotspurs against bottom of the league Aston Villa. The game can be viewed live on Sky Sports 1 High Definition and we could be set to see plenty of goals with a majority of them being scored against manager-less Aston Villa who sacked Tim Sherwood recently. It came as no surprise seeing as though Villa have only managed to earn four points in ten games and sit routed at the bottom. Where as Tottenham Hotspurs have had it better even though they themselves have struggled in October with just the one win against Bournemouth.

Even though Tottenham Hotspurs have struggled for wins, they have earned well fought points against the likes of Liverpool and Swansea City, as well as against Monaco away from home in the Europa League competition. Spurs will want to win this match as the next two are crucial as they host Anderlecht in the Europa League and then travel across London to face bitter rivals Arsenal in the league. Aston Villa were my favourites to go down last season, and luckily for them managed to avoid it in the last few games. This season however I just really don’t see an escape route for them, as they are now without a manager and also have fans who are asking for the resignation of the owners.

My predictions for this Premier League fixture is of course giving the full backing to London club Tottenham Hotspurs. I have no doubts in my mind that they will win, its just trying to predict a manor of how which could earn us a penny or two. So for the first I am planning to back Spurs to win the game, and on top of that doing it while conceding none which looks very promising. The other I am going for is Harry Kane to continue his goal scoring for with him scoring two or more goals during the match.
