Rayo Vallecano v Real Madrid Preview, Primera La Liga, Saturday 2nd November 2013

Rayo Vallecano did manage to start winning last month but things then looked too good to be true as they then suffered two straight defeats to other bottom half contenders Real Valladolid and Osasuna, and now having to expect another defeat to high scoring Real Madrid come Saturday things are not looking too great as they struggle to get themselves out of the relegation zone.

Well my prediction for Real Madrid to beat Sevilla at home couldn’t of been more wrong as I was expecting Sevilla to put up a better fight when it came to defending their goal, and who could of predicted Real Madrid hitting 7 goals past a side who had previously defended reasonably well! But it was great to see Gareth Bale find his shooting boots as he hit a brace before Ronaldo insisted on doing better with a hat-trick.

Rayo Vallecano v Real Madrid Team News

Rayo Vallecano Team News:

Rayo Vallecano are still without defenders Galeano and Ze Castro as well as 29 year old striker Castillo, although none of these three are first choice they are still important to the squad as Rayo are suffering with a few injuries right now and can’t afford to get many more players visiting the physio long term.

Real Madrid Team News:

Great news for Ancelotti as he rightly so selected to stand by Welsh winger Gareth Bale as fans started to wonder if the world record signing was indeed a flop. But with match fitness returning the former Tottenham man grabbed himself a brace which put his side two goals up before Frenchman Benzema grabbed a couple as well as Cristiano Ronaldo grabbed yet another career hat-trick.

Rayo Vallecano v Real Madrid Head to Head Statistics

As expected a team of Real Madrid’s history and heritage have completely dominated  Rayo Vallecano since their last visit to the La Liga where they managed to beat Real Madrid 1 – 0 back in 1997. But since then there have been 1 draw and 11 wins which would show that Real Madrid by far have the upper hand and advantage.

17/02/13 PRD Real Madrid – Rayo Vallecano 2 : 0
24/09/12 PRD Rayo Vallecano – Real Madrid 0 : 2
26/02/12 PRD Rayo Vallecano – Real Madrid 0 : 1
24/09/11 PRD Real MadridRayo Vallecano 6 : 2
04/04/03 PRD Real Madrid – Rayo Vallecano 3 : 1

Previous Average Goals Per Game Statistics

In the last 5 head to head statistics we have counted 17 goals which gives us a nice goal average of 3.4 per game, although 8 of them were scored in 1 match back in 2011 it would be that type of scoreline we should come to expect come Saturday evening even with Madrid away from home.

Rayo Vallecano v Real Madrid Recent Form (Left to Right)

Rayo Vallecano: L L W W L

Real Madrid: W L W W W

Rayo Vallecano look in deep trouble as they sit 2nd from bottom and it was only last month they managed to secure 6 of their 9 La Liga points, but since then have again been on the slide with a further two straight defeats. Real Madrid are in very good form even though they did lose to league leaders Barcelona and last week were involved in a 7 – 3 rout at the expense of Sevilla.

Rayo Vallecano v Real Madrid Match Predictions, Tips & First Goal Scorer Bets.

If last weeks Real Madrid game against Sevilla is anything to go on you could say they have regained the scoring prowess after hitting 7 past a Sevilla side who have so far defended reasonably well this season. But Rayo Vallecano on the other hand are really struggling for results so we could see another demolition as Bale and Ronaldo continue to form a formidable partnership on the wings. So if I was going to predict the correct score I would go with a 5 – 2 Ream Madrid win come Saturday, a wild guess I know but there was me fooled in my last prediction of 2 – 0 to Real Madrid!

Anyway guessing a correct score for a team like Real Madrid or Barcelona is almost impossible so it may pay off instead to predict over 4.5 goals per game which could prove to be worth it the way Madrid are playing. Another bet I am going for is for a Ronaldo 2+ goals per game.
