Aston Villa v Chelsea Preview, Premiership, Saturday 2nd April 2016

Aston Villa have had a season to forget and things are looking any brighter for the side who continue to languish rooted at the foot of the premiership league table and with just seven games left to play, the club look pretty much destined for relegation and I can’t really see them putting up much of a fight in this one.

Chelsea have also not had a great season bar their standards, but they have slowly started to recover their best form since the departure of Jose Mourinho and are still well within a very realistic chance of securing a spot in Europe next season if they can keep winning games and I fully expect the visitors to show no mercy to Villa in this game on route to what should be a very comfortable away win.

Gabriel Agbonlahor will not feature for Aston Villa against Chelsea after the club announced an investigation into his conduct while on holiday in Dubai.

Adama Traore and Jack Grealish are available for the first time since January after recovering from respective foot and ankle injuries.

Chelsea forward Diego Costa misses the game to complete a two-match ban. Radamel Falcao could be involved for the first time since October after overcoming a thigh injury

217 of those Goals have been scored in the 70 matches played between the two clubs at Villa Park, which generates us with an average goals per game statistic of 3.10.

Both sets of data strongly indicate that this game is likely to see plenty of goals scored and Over 2.5 Goals looks the stand out bet for this game.

Aston Villa v Chelsea Match Betting Odds Market

Aston Villa are lacking any sort of confidence are having a terrible season, most of their players will be moving on to other clubs and nothing suggests to me that they can win this game as their current best price of 6/1 with Betfred – Bet £10 & Receive £30 Free Bets for New Customers, clearly shows.

The Draw is probably the best result that Aston Villa could probably obtain if Chelsea are having a bad day, but if im honest I would be shocked to see this game finish all square, but for those that do you can enjoy a current best price of 10/3 with Bet365 – £200 Free Bets For New Customers.

Chelsea are the clear favourites to win this game and rightly so in my opinion, they have struggled in a couple of their recent matches getting beat 2-1 by PSG and then 2-0 in the FA Cup by Everton, but for me the visitors look a stone walled banker for this game and their current price of 4/7 with BetVictor – Receive £50 Free Bets when Registering a New Account, does look the value play here.

Aston Villa v Chelsea Match Predictions, Tips & First Goal Scorer Bets.

Aston Villa suffered an 8-0 thrashing by Chelsea back in 2012 and although this might sound absoloutely ridiculous, I can see a similar result come Saturday afternoon as this Villa team just seems to have given up in recent weeks and their fate of relegation certainly looks sealed.

Chelsea will still believe that they can finish high enough up the league table to qualify for some sort of European place for next season, but that would mean them winning pretty much all of their remaining eight matches left.

However, I can see Chelsea coming very close to achieving that and a good win in this match will obviously be a huge incentive to both the players and their fans.

Onto some predictions then and my Banker Free Tip is going to be Chelsea -2 Asian Handicap as I am expecting them to win this game by at least three or more goals on Saturday afternoon.

My First Goalscorer Free Tip is going to be for Cesc Fabregas to grab the first goal of this game as he always seems to play well against Aston Villa and with Diego Costa missing due to suspension, Fabregas could find himself the space needed to get his name on the score-sheet in this one.
