West Ham United v Manchester United Preview, Premiership, Monday 2nd January 2017.

Sadly for West Ham United they ended their good run of results recently when they visited the champions Leicester City on Saturday. The game ended 1 – 0 to the home side who put a stop to the Hammers three games and one draw run. That said they have managed to drag themselves out of the relegation area now with them currently sitting in twelfth in the table.

West Ham United welcome Manchester United to London on Monday and then on Friday welcome their neighbours Manchester City with them set to face them in the FA Cup 3rd Round. It wont be the last time they see one of the Manchester clubs either as they also face City in the Premier League at home come the beginning of February. the clubs also have Crystal Palace and Middlesbrough to play in the meantime and will really want to grab some points there.

Manchester United endured a tough time against Middlesbrough last weekend where they were completely dominating the game yet losing up until five minutes left of the game. Back to back goals from United secured all three points which although was a heartbreak for Middlesbrough it was definitely deserved for the home side. United are now just three points adrift rivals City and Tottenham Hotspurs in the title chase.

The next five games will be vital for Manchester United especially if they are serious about fighting for the Premier League title this season. With Chelsea seeming to run away with it they just cannot afford to slip up even against Liverpool who they have in the next couple of weeks. In the clubs five upcoming league games they are certainly all there to be won, yet I can see Liverpool being the toughest of them all.

West Ham United Team News:

We could see the clubs captain Mark Noble miss out against Manchester United on Monday with the midfielder having to come off against Leicester City at the weekend. Sam Byram has returned to training after recovering from an ankle injury. Simone Zaza (knee), Gokhan Tore (knee) and Reece Oxford (ankle) are all still unavailable.

Manchester United Team News:

Manchester United have just got Erik Bailly back from injury and now he heads off to compete in the African Nations Cup, so will miss out in the fixture against West Ham United. Michael Carrick returns for selection after an illness while captain Wayne Rooney misses out still with thigh trouble.

West Ham United v Manchester United Match Predictions, Banker Tips & First Goal Scorer Bets

Premier League action this Monday night comes live from London where Manchester United get to face West Ham United at this ground for the very first time. The game can be viewed live via Sky Sports 1 and of course in High Definition. West ham United are not the favourites to pick up any points against their visitors however well they have played against them in the recent past.

Manchester United are the clear favourites to win in London and with them picking up momentum could we seriously see them make a grab for the title? I myself cannot see it as I do feel it is Chelsea’s to lose especially seeing as though they are currently six points out in front, and a total of thirteen points ahead of Manchester United who currently sit in sixth.

West Ham United did lose against the Champions Leicester City this weekend so could of been hit with a dip to their confidence, even though they have managed to pick up form before that dragging themselves away from the bottom three during the process. Although their visitors are the favourites I do feel West Ham United have it in them to steal a win if they manage to play at their best.

My predictions for this game are tending to lean more towards the draw as surely Manchester United’s run of form is due to come to an abrupt end soon? That said my banker tip will be backing a score draw. The other prediction I am going for is Manchester United to win this game 3 – 1 on the day. I just feel that they could continue on with their strikers continuing to pick up pace and score goals.
