Arsenal v Aston Villa Preview, Premiership, Sunday 1st February 2015

Arsenal head into this game looking in great form at the moment as their victory over Manchester City last time out in the league clearly showed and manager Arsen Wenger is a very happy man at the moment along with every Arsenal fan around the world.

This game does have a potential banana skin element to it as Aston Villa do seem to up their game when they play the big sides in the Premiership and with a player like Benteke, they do have a major threat up front.

However, Aston Villa are not doing at all well this season and it would not surprise me in the least to see Benteke possibly sold in the remaining few days of this transfer market window and for me if the visitors do lose this one then the departure of Benteke could be imminent.

Arsenal Team News:

Jack Wilshere (ankle), Mikel Arteta (ankle), Abou Diaby (calf), Mathieu Debuchy (shoulder) all remain unavailable for the hosts and both Alexis Sanchez and Danny Welbeck will undertake a late fitness test to see if they can be involved as both are carrying knocks.

Aston Villa Team News:

Ron Vlaar (knee), Philippe Senderos (calf) and Joel Cole (hamstring) remain unavailable for the visitors, but the good news for Villa fans is that Agbonlahor has recovered from a hamstring injury and looks likely to start.

Arsenal v Aston Villa Match Predictions, Tips & First Goal Scorer Bets.

Arsenal will expect to win this game quite comfortably come Sunday afternoon as the whole squad received a huge boost after beating Manchester City 2-0 at the Etihad Stadium a fortnight ago.

Theo Walcott got the gunners off to the perfect start in that game and will no doubt be pushing for a place back in the England setup as he looks better than ever since his come back from a long term injury problem.

Aston Villa have huffed and puffed pretty much all season to secure their points and it does look likely again that they could be embroiled in a fight for their survival over the coming months as if they do lose Benteke during this transfer window they would lack the firepower up front for me to secure enough points to avoid that situation.

The average goals per game statistics are expecting this match to see at least a few goals scored and with Arsenal in super form at the moment, it does look like the hosts will be doing most of the scoring.

My Banker prediction for this game is for Arsenal to Score 3 or More Goals as with Walcott and Giroud the most likely options to lead the attack, I believe Arsenal can win this game very comfortably indeed.

My Saver is going to be for Both Teams to Score & Arsenal to Win as although Aston Villa have not done much this season they do have a goal scoring threat up front with Agbonlahor and Benteke and they could possibly snatch one during this game.
