AC Milan v Torino Preview, Serie A, Saturday 1st February 2014.

AC Milan this season are a very different and inconsistent side who are currently sitting in 9th position in the Serie A which is almost unheard of when looking at the clubs history. They could really struggle to even qualify for the Champions League this year and the best they could hope for is qualifying in the beginner stages of the competition. Winning on Saturday could aid in that possibility as a result at home could close the 4 point gap currently seen between the two.

Torino are currently a club in very reasonable form as they sit in a very respectable 6th position in the Serie A League. A win on Saturday for them could see the, climb above Inter Milan in a Champions League Qualification spot which is something rarely seen in the Serie A competitions. Torino did lose to Parma this month which allowed them to close the gap to equal points with Torino having the better goal difference which sets the two apart.

AC Milan v Torino Team News

AC Milan Team News:

AC Milan currently host QPR’s attacking midfielder Adel Taarabt as he looks to pass a medical so he can complete his loan move to the Italian league. Taarabt is seen in the UK competitions as a troublesome luxury and the young Moroccan has often been described as a wasted talent by fans and club managers. It could be what AC Milan need however as they look to increase their attacking presence from the middle of the park which has been something Clarence Seedorf’s side has been lacking this term.

Torino Team News:

Torino have more times than not relied heavily on Italian striker Ciro Immobile who has currently scored ten goals in eighteen games this season and sits as the clubs joint top scorer with midfield star Alessio Cerci. With looking at the team statistics you can clearly see that Torino have been winning their games by scoring as few goals as possible to grab the three points. However every now and then they do manage to shock all odds and score a hat-full.

AC Milan v Torino Head to Head Statistics

As we can see below that AC Milan have played the better football in recent years and came out on top with the winning results and if we look further in regards to the 22 games played in total we have only seen Torino win once to Milan’s impressive 12. We do however see a large number of draws and have counted 9 with only 3 of them with Torino away from home.

AC Milan v Torino Recent Form (Last 5 Games – Left to Right)

AC Milan: W L W W L

Torino: W W D L W

AC Milan really are not the team of old as they sit struggling for consistency in mid table in Serie A and have recently been knocked out of the Coppa Italia in a shock defeat to Udinese. So in the last 5 games we can see Torino are in better form heading into this game on Saturday and are also currently 5 points above Milan in the league.

AC Milan v Torino Match Predictions, Tips & First Goal Scorer Bets.

I am looking forward to this game on Saturday night and its going to be fun trying to earn my money by predicting some winning results. If you have read all the information above you can see that Torino have only won once against AC Milan in the past and also only managed a draw at AC Milan’s ground three times. It doesn’t look good really but then we do need to take into consideration that this AC Milan side really are not playing well this season and sit in a dismal 9th position in the Serie A League.

Torino are even five points above AC Milan which is something very rarely seen in such a prestigious and famous league and all eyes will be on AC Milan this weekend as they look to continue an impressive run of wins against their opposition.

So lets get down to some predictions, Torino have a couple of danger men with one coming from midfield and the other a striker. If either of them two are playing well I ask if Torino have much of a chance in scoring on the day. Milan may well be in 9th position but they do still have a positive goal difference which would suggest their defense isn’t as leaky as their position could suggest. The first prediction I am going for is AC Milan to win and Kaka to score on the day. The other I am going for is a score draw which could be well on the cards giving how both teams are playing right now.
